I've already got it hooked into my other EA but I can't find a purpose for it, I've monitored it for at least a month, using it with H4 TF.

I've managed to do some hacks to get it working with some other simple EA's i've been trying to write..

Anyway I'm learning a bit slowly day by day!!

I've been testing on different time frames, but the best is 5M TF breaking 2.5 GMT Level.

I've hacked the GMT indicator to sum up D1,H4,H1 & M15 as this gives a better idea of market volatility, and then adding slope calculation to see if the GMT is trending or retracing..

As you know my coding skills are a bit limited, but maybe adding to 10.4 with the option to choose 3 x GMT TFs might be worth trying..!!

Hi Mike,

Either you have to solve your problem yourself, or if you need help from the forum you must be specific.
What is the error that you are getting?
Have you checked the Journal and Expert tab? Are there any error messages there?
What happens when you drop the EA on the chart?
Do you get the smily at the top right hand corner?
Have you looked at Tools>Options> Expert tab? Correctly checked?

A month has passed, ootb V1.32 I got 2 losses and 3 wins with a $risk-reward-ratio 7:20, alaas winning but I am looking for a setting which allows more trades. Does anybody have one to share? I can't believe this bot has been abandoned.

Turn off the css filter. It is super conservative and kills almost all the trades of the system. In addition loosen up the RSI parameters slightly. It will start trading again.

Exits on this bot were never implemented well. In the manual version there is a lot of flexibility and discretion exercised. Exits and the jump stop as per Shelley and Bob may be an answer. But we never came close to executing on Bob's feel for taking profits. It takes some skillful interventions to make money with this bot, imho.

In addition over the summer months 10.4 struggled massively as we did a lot of ranging with violent illiquid moves that make it very hard to follow the mostly non-existent trends. Bob adapted to 10.6, many of us moved to strategies that do better in ranging markets. Flexibility is key.

Just two bits. I ran this bot continuously (though modded) until mt4gui pissed me off. It is a pretty great indicator of where and when the market is trending well. Very useful as a tool to see where trending or ranging strategies might work best.
