I have enjoyed success trading TDesk manually as I describe at http://www.stevehopwoodforex.com/phpBB3 ... 84#p164184.

This post introduces my automation of the trading system. Starting on Thursday last i.e. two days of trading and trading 0.1 lots on a $10,000 start balance, here was the result when I closed manually on Friday:

Trading XY42 manually, I use no discretion. TDesk signals a buy/sell signal: I go to the chart and drag the relevant EA onto the chart.

TDesk makes automating something like this so easy it is ridiculous. Here are the attached files:
  • XY42 Candle Candle Pattern Indicator TD.mq4. This is the drone indi that tells TDesk when there has been the appropriate candle pattern detected.
  • TDesk template.tpl: this will set up TDesk appropriately.
  • Desky: this will set up your Desky trading drone EA correctly.
  • Individual chart template.tpl: this will set up your individual charts to send their data to TDesk.
A word to the wise folks, in the spirit of cutting off pain at the pass. I am not joking in my, "To trade this system, you have to understand:" section at the top of this post. Do not whinge at me if you get error messages that show you have not got the appropriate files in the necessary folders - you will not enjoy my reaction.

brilliant many thanks for the share Steve, very exciting times here.

Seems as if ripe fruit after ripe fruit is being offered at the moment... but let's not forget the time and effort of all involved to nurture the tree that is bearing them (sorry for the laboured analogy!)

A decade is a long span to foresee.

An expert that learns from its own trading results might be coming a bit earlier ...

Hi all,

Less than 24 hr playing with XY42 automated and outcome looks very good.

(I can confirm, the basket close is buggy - so I have been closing manually.)

Yikes! Steve has created a monster. A very cheerful smiling monster. :smile: Finally achieved the minimum level of competency required to set this up on a demo using the defaults and it started trading only around NY open today. Closed all open trades 15 minutes before NY close. As an experiment I will try close all of my open trades daily before the NY close just to see how that works out.

185 pips for NY session only. What a nice start! :clap: :party:

I use demo to play with XY42 using 4-7 pip profit per trade. Still floating loss of £95.00 is running.
Net profit around £35.00.
Account size £500.00
Lot size 0.01. (9-14 pairs)
Chart TF 15M
Baluda SuperSlope TD V2 TF 15M, H1, H4.
XY42 Candle Pettern Indicator TD
Need some suggestion how to avoid loss trades.
I don't stay all the time in front of PC when trend change that big issue, only check when come back from work.
Also request to friends do some experiment. It looks good.

Try doing what the damn EA is telling you to do and stop irritating me. I am getting a bit on the pissed side of people who cannot be arsed to read the fucking user guide.
