I am setting up some Demos to test Bob's Brainless Thingy.

I have set one up with 'Bob's H4 240 trend filter' enabled (MaTF=15, MaPeriod =100). However this EA will now not place any pending trades.

Could I please request that this is included

Thanks Rapple - the same thing was happening to me. I added code to check that all the pendings had been sent earlier in the week, and was assuming it was a fault there that I had not got around to finding.

Your post sent me in the right direction, and coders would do well to take note of this. The LookForTradingOpportunities in all my shells works fine when the ea is called upon to send a single trade in one direction only. It fails when the ea might be called upon to send only one of two opposite-direction trades if a filter such as 240 MA or Slope etc is being used.

Fixes in V 1b in post 1.

I assume that traders demoing BBT as originally coded saw the same losses in the early part of last week that I did?

I enabled the MA filter on Friday and the account is up by c. 2.5%.

Steve i tested this ea OOTB 15M on my live mini account and the result are very promising. I have noticed however that the pending order seem to send only in sell direction. I use the MA240 filter like OOTB setting that have you posted, but in the positive pairs above the 240MA the ea don't send any buy orders. I don't know if it's only one my problem but i have seen the same in my another demo account.
Another problem that i have seen is that sometimes the open yellow line isn't in the correct position and then the order doesn't send in the correct level to 10 points above/below the open session and than is the yellow line.
I attached one immagine with the open of ny session today at 12.00 broker time.

I had tried for a cpu-saving shortcut in the sell trade decision and it buggered the ea trying to send a buy stop. Fix in V1c in post 1.

Coders go to lines 1392 - 1425 and replace every instance of

SendShort = false;

The 'return' command aborted the buy trade that was otherwise due to be sent.

Stan, your line thingy could be caused by loading BBT onto the M15. BBT uses the open time/price of the H1 candle at the session open, so the M15 might be mucking this up. Change to the H1 and see if this makes a difference.

I switch to H1 timeframe and see what happens.
The last 3 days with 240MA filter i have had very good result with this ea.
I trade only 10 pairs at Lo and Ny session OOTB setting except the BE set to 20 pips.
