News event indicator

Hi All.

I am trying to analyse the effect of various news events on the currency that the news event correlates to. To date, I have been flipping between the FF news calender and my Empty4 platform, marking the events on my charts, then measuring the pip movement for that event, and recording this. This has been labour intensive to say the least.

I have also Googled such an indicator and have not found one...

Does anyone here know of such an indicator thingy (The Oanda web platform has something similar, although it only shows the country that the news relates to, not much else)?

Is it possible to code such an indicator?

You can find a very good news indicator (with history for backtesting) here:

Sergey did a great job with this one.

You would need manually to download recent files from DailyFX (or let me know and I post zip file here)

Hi there Mariusz, very many thanks for this.

It does seem however that some of the data is jumbled up, it could be because the history that I have is not up to date?

Would you mind terribly posting that zip file with the most recent data from the past 4 months?

Here it is - please put it in your Empty4 [...]/mql4/files folder
