I switched from 3 minute to 5 minute chart in the morning.

Today's London hours forward test screen shot attached. Please note this is not even demo trading -- just test trading within the VPS -- so no slippage at all.

Khalid, I've been experimenting with your MC code translated to Tradestation, and I'm not having much luck. I've experimented with all manner of TFs, stops, profit targets, etc, and I'm finding very few profitable cases.

I haven't yet tried modifying the trading logic, but I suspect that will be necessary. Even with longer TFs like M10 or M30, it trades pretty frenetically, jumping in and out. I'm seeing thousands of trades in the last year (trading 24/5) if I use a SL, which is the only way I can get it to show a profit. This thing catches an occasional nice move, but it's way too eager to jump in. It takes lots and lots of losses and those eat up the profits. The entry is just not working very well.

I believe this is not necessary. However, the code needs to be made more effective, and I am continually doing so. The forward test results posted above are a result of improved code. We shall see what the future holds.

The trick is to prevent re-entry after most exits. Please note the code I sent you had the following warning:

I think I have the matter of un-wanted re-entries under control. Again, time will tell.

Learning is the difficult bit. It took more than 10,000 hours of hard learning before I was capable
of (the RED line in the graph) performance. But only a few moments of foolishness in deciding to test a 'recovery', etc. system to which has brought about the YELLOW line deterioration.

Anyway, the purpose of the signature here is to constantly remind that the EA should (eventually) match the RED line.

I am doing my best to complete a manual/guide; but things keep cropping up and this is taking longer that I first anticipated. However, it shall be completed sometime this week.

In the meanwhile, please test the EA with default settings. Please do not worry if it does not make money because it will throw up lot of useful information on the basis of which profitable settings can be determined.

I moved down to 3 minutes, but still very little oomph in EURUSD today. Barely broke even.

3 minute is my favourite time frame for intra-day trading, but I had switched to 5 minutes because Empty4 has no M3!

I think you can do 3 minutes in Empty4 with an expert or a script, i don't remember the name, maybe "time converter" or something like else.

Apply it to a 1 minute chart, and put the multiplier to 3 and you have 3 minutes !

Sorry Khalid, I mean Stochastic Oscillator filter. I checked again and it´s the only filter does not work. I want to trade when pullback comes so it is important.

Thank you for testing and reporting this one. I had implemented the stochastic filter at a very late hour and instead of the documented "Stochastic must be above StochHighLim and falling for Short; Stochastic must be below StochLowLim and rising for Long"; was checking StochLowLim for short and StochHighLim for long trades. Everything else appears to be done properly.

Attached the new version 2.2 that resolves this issue. Changes are:
swingOne v2.2
- Updated comment text shown on the screen so it is more useable in smaller screens
- An issue in stoch filter resolved
