Secret Bob. Sometimes trendy, sometimes not.

EA's inspired by nanningbob's work here, especially those based on his 240 Moving Average trend detection filter.

Would then be great to add a basket percentage trailing/jumping stop into secret bob, extending magft's section allowing each pair's profit to be trailed individually.

Apologies if my comments sounded like criticism, it is not.

I am a very bad demo trader. Jumping in and out of strategies all the time.

I have much better discipline with my live accounts so I trade very conservative.

Keep on with your research. I learn a lot from you.
Don't worry, I understand what you were saying.

Hello everyone! I'm so happy with FB that i missed to read about the successor that is SB! Just finished reading and will try to fire up the engine tomorrow on my demo...
I fully trust Steve when he says he is that confident with SB and replaced FB on live with it

that's pretty good. just remember that this system was originally designed for 4h or 1D tf.
Dont get me wrong, while it should work well on the smaller TFs, when we start getting choppy, its the higher Tfs that survive.

just my 2 canadian cents

I've read somewhere on this thread to watch out with the 4H.
But what the heck ... demo accounts are free :) so I'll set one up for the 4h as well.

thanks

In the meantime, check your inputs and don't automatically assume there is a fault in the coding; I am finding increasingly these days that it is something the user is buggering up that causes problems.

As I have occasionally remarked in the past, "It dunt wurk" posts are useless and annoy me. Enable snapshots and post a pic of it nut wurking and I will take a tad more notice.

Hi Steve

Here is an example of a Trend Trade (Sell) that has a 'CT' comment.

I am still on SB (1f) trading H1 with MAperiod=0

Kind regards Rapple

Cheers rap. At least the bot took the trade in the right direction. I will look into it. There will just be some tiny thingy somewhere that prevents the correct trading comment being sent. I am not willing to spend a lot of time on this, which has emerged since I enabled Bob's H4 240 MA filter - something I am starting to regret. If it proves troublesome, I will simply remove it.

Read the effing manual, ok?

Afterprime is the official SHF broker. Read about them at https://www.stevehopwoodforex.com/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?p=175790#p175790.

I still suffer from OCCD. Good thing, really.

Anyone here feeling generous? My paypal account is always in the market for a tiny donation. pianodoodler@hotmail.com is the account.

My special thanks to Thomas (tomele) for all the incredible work he does here.
