Huge losses so far for me this week, eating away at Sept profits.
This makes me think of putting a global stop loss.
Problem is when price is too far from the 240 then it moves back and your caught. Then Fbob tries to take trades still.

Astonishing when there are so many filters in place to avoid this happening. Or explanations as to why it happens. As discussed umpteen times in this thread.

Hi all,

Steve was kind enough to unlock this thread at my request to share my results on Fractalated Bob.
I have been running two different versions for around 2 months now.
The first is the original version with direct order entry, the second version is modified slightly to enter on pending orders only.
Both versions run on 15m and H1 with MTPM take profit at 2% (? ...cant remember exactly, got to check the vps)
The results are as below.
The equity growth rate on the pending versions are somewhat lesser than the non-pending version.
However, the pending entry version is able to a certain extent avoid the steep draw-down which affects the direct entry.
In short term, it looks like the direct entry version works great, but over a longer term, the pending version is more stable.

I have also been running Fractalated Bob the 'standard version' and MPTM 2% TP since September with steady progress, this is on a live micro account with very wide spreads.

It is v.1i now but updated as Steve developed it, running on H1, E/U, G/U, G/J, U/J, U/CH
I attach the setfile.
The broker is XM_micro but as above the spreads are crazy.

Would you mind telling us the account size please just to put the 0.16 lot size Vs 2% global closure in to perspective?

Impressive results - especially given your comments re spread.

My FB has done well too but it has been a lot more volatile. It looks like sticking with a few pairs may be the way to go.

I have three sets of FB running on XM accounts that you can access through that link, this one was Steve's original idea of majors plus U/CH and was on M15 but changed to H1 on 15/09 as too volatile for my taste, there have been some manual interventions but very few.
The lot size relative to the number of pairs, the % and the account size seems to be the key to the smooth progress from these three accounts.
