Hi
I have an M15 demo going and changed over to ver 1f this morning from version 1. I have been having trouble with trade closures, my BE setting seems to work but close on opposite symbol does not seem to fire. I am seeing numerous examples of this and same thing happened with version 1 that I had going until this morning. I am trading both CT and trend and have all basket closure options blank. I took a screen shot of my settings to establish that I am not a XXXXXXXXX idiot and didn't check my settings. Anyone else having this problem?

Looking promising to me, some nice trades but obviously have to get the trade closure strategy working before I can properly evaluate my trial which is based on trading market close/open periods with pairs that move most for each session. Everything else is working as far as i can see at this point.

Happy to post some chart examples of closure problem if wanted.

Hi Steve,

Not sure to post this here or should go on Secret Bob, sometimes trendy.

Since I'm trading with Secret Bob 1i with the settings of 240 on TF 15 with great success and Bob just came up with a new update optional version use of the 60 MA.

Update V.11 eliminated update signal with every new candle. Arrows that disappeared in the past will now change colors showing where signals had been given. A 60MA version was also added. See notes inside V.11 folder. Page 13 will start the discussion of the latest update.

My question is if by changing the settings to 60 MA in the Moving Average section will be enough for the arrows to appear accordingly with 60 MA or they will still follow the 240?

I'm asking to understand the mechanics of the EA and because you mention that you will not make any upgrades to Secret Bob.

The SB is trading OK but the GBPAUD isn't doing to good, 3 big losses and 3 big active losses. The stoc daily & weekly looks like it could be a good filter if it trades. Maybe turning off the CT would help. I'll try it and let you know.

The EA is driven by the 240 MA not the Yellow/Red Sto. If you plot the H1 240 MA on your chart you you will see that all of them are telling DT.

I personally disable the CT function and either set an ATR TP or use the CT to exit.

Overnight I had two baskets close on the M5 charts. Net +220 pips. All comments for the 57 trades marked as Trend, even though TradeTheCounterTrend = True. Also TradeThe Trend = True, CloseTrendTrades on OppositeSignal = False, CloseCtTradesOnOppositeSignal = True. Not sure if any were CT trades or not.

Look at your trade balance inputs and Bob's H4 trend filter - if that is enabled you cannot have any CT trades.

Whatever I try, the EA keeps deleting the chart it's attached to.
Setting the "show charts" to false doesn't help.

I had that issue until I added it to a currency pair that I wasn't trading. I added it to XAUUSD but I am not sure if that is a great idea seeing as the market hours for XAUUSD can vary from normal forex hours. I usually use GBPJPY for the high tick count.

I had the same problem. Then I added the ea to a pair I do not trade like USDSGD.That helped.

I tried EURCHF, that didn't help [might be in the pairs to trade list], but CHFSGD did the trick.
Since it's an "every tick" EA, trading hours don't affect the working imo.
