T/F statement is for trend/CT trade arrows and wouldnt have anything to do with the color of the arrows. As I have said and taught in the past the higher the TF you use the less of a problem you have with the so called repainting issue. It is why that never bothers me. A signal is a signal. The trade will either work or not. Unless price is on a really really strong trend the arrow signal will usually be good. I am finding out it is working fairly well for me.nanningbob » Thu Nov 06, 2014 10:13 pm wrote:I know it worked the one day I tested it but I only use trend trades now and I think you are right I have not see the other colors. first a great thank you to Bob sharing his knowledge.
Until the 240MA Buy/Sell I wasn't following the 10.x and earlier systems, using another strategy.
Now this 240 MA is a very easy showing result of, I suppose, a not easy and lot of work.
Ref. to the most recent v11 I only have one question:
I checked to compare a chart (example M30) with settings isiCustom TRUE/FALSE and wasn't able to see any difference. As I understand, there should be a change of colors, if a signal-arrow isn't longer valid.
Thank you
Bob, have a nice trip to Europe and your final destination 'at home'![]()

I can confirm it is working, the duplicate arrows are drawn but it seems that there is no cancelled signal arrow so the duplicates are kept in the background. Makes me think that If there is repainting it is probably trivialnanningbob » Today, 15:13 wrote:

Keep in mind two things :
- The last version also include an ignore future fix that Milanese gave me (I enforced it on code side, so you can't disable it)
- Any change on any of the indicators of the chart will trigger a screen refresh and indicator reinitialisation, removing all duplicate arrows.
You want to double check, you can see the arrows as they are objects in the chart objects, they are hidden but clicking "All" will make them appear in the list.

Sorry Bob, I was wrong on this statement, the isIcustom T/F will, in fact, enable/disable the duplicate arrows. Hi Bob
Can i clarify something you said about closing trades at end of session
as most people depending where they live will only trade 2 sessions at most so i will use UK/US as example as you may use different sessions
at the end of UK session if you have any trades open that are showing a loss you still close then off you dont let them go into US session and then close at end of that session so you dont have any trades open while you are sleeping or not trading which ever.
recap - close at end of UK session and start new on US session
also as you say you only trade with the trend you still use the CT signals within the trend though
hope i'm making sense

With this I have been but not always but I use multiple methods when I trade. I dont close jpy sells right now because they are on a run and I expect that to last most of the month if not for the rest of the year. Again watch your CSS and play the strength and weakness of a currency but yes I close many of my trades after the session run is done. Depending on my view of the market I may let them run.earlb38 » Fri Nov 07, 2014 6:32 pm wrote:Hi Bob

I always have open trades around the clock. I am not a one in, one out trader. I may have anywhere from 10 to 40 trades going at various times of the day. Right now I have 30 open trades going so no I dont close them all every session.
For example, I will trade this system. 11.0 open sessions when I am around the computer at the time. If I see a bounce off of a S/R area I may take them. I love playing the xxx.000 lines and the cross of the DP or WP lines. I like taking trades that cross the 60 or 240 MA lines. I trade fundamentals like the JPY sell move that has been going. And when I see a good CT trade I will take it. So I have a lot going on. What I dont do is make a bunch or rules and follow them religiously. I dont post results or trades much anymore because it would confuse the bejabbers out most traders. You can say I am hiding in my own little world. I multi-level trade and very very rarely use a SL. I usually only take losses when I realize I am on the wrong end of a fundamental move. So I am sure I confused the heck out of you. Sorry.

240 MA BUY.ABOVE_SELL.BELOW
Hi, bob i have something to clarify about the signal.
Please correct me if there is any mistakes.
1). Large arrows are with trend signals.
So RED arrow only appear on down trend which is when price is under 240MA.
GREEN arrow only appear on up trend.
Do we still match the candle with the with trend signal arrows? That is we sell when only the bar is red/bearish.
Also, do we enter once the arrow appears? Or can we can enter a bit later in case we are not in front of the PC at the time? Or the condition may have changed after a certain duration that the signal arrow is no longer available.
Shall we exit our position if the entry candle change colour during the course. i.e. we sell with red arrow with red bar, but shortly after that the bar turn green. Is it possible
2) Small arrows are CT signals.
Pink / Yellow arrows are coutertrend, and should enter with the opposite colour.i.e Pink with green bar and yellow with red bars.
Similar questions is that what about after enter counter-trend the entry bar changes colour?
3) Did the indicator depends on the server time? If it is applied on 1H or less TF it should be no problem. But is there any problem when applied on 4H / 1D TF?
4) Bob, there is quite a lots of signal generated. Will you filter out the trades based on your discretionary choice?
Thanks for answering.

240 MA BUY.ABOVE_SELL.BELOW
Well, this week I was trading this system on the H1 time frame, and it has given me great results.
First the numbers :
Number of trades : 33 (only TREND signals)
Pips : 427.7
Gain : +6.9%
Markets : Majors (8)
I have configured the Empty4 to send me an email on every new arrow signal and it is very important to enter trade as soon as possible. My problem has always been the R/R and trade time length, when should I close and when should I leave it open. This week I found that what is working for me is to keep a 1:1 R/R, although this could not be exactly if there are S/R areas between my TP/SL. I also keep an eye on Red News and don’t enter if there is one coming out soon, those could wipe the signal strenght.
So, easy, I enter on a 1:1 but always with an eye on S/R and red flag news.
There are times where I move my SL to B/E, mainly when a CT signal appears and the market is showing signs of reversing. Most of the times trades are quick into profit and very rarely moves to the next day :
The TREND signals are quite impressive, price reacts to it almost like an inverted magnet and very rarely we don’t see some kind of profit even when it doesn't continue the trend. I have seen that it works even stronger when 2 ou 3 arrows appear at the same price area.
Some examples of my week trades :
NZDUSD :
GBPUSD :
USDCHF :
I will keep doing this and hope to continue the nice results.
The ideas behind this indicator are secret, I believe that STOCH is one major ingredient but only Bob can confirm that
Have a great weekend and a big thank you to Bob.

OK trader friends I am coming to Europe so maybe get a chance to see some of you. I may not be posting that much once I get going but I am sure you all will survive. This trip, (I hope there will be more) I am going to focus on England, Spain, and Iceland. My wife and I are going on our 40th wedding anniversary so this trip is the celebration. (about 6 months early but who cares) So here is my schedule if you are in the area we can say HI:
Nov. 18 - 21 Chengdu China to see the Pandas
Nov. 21 - 27 Nanjing to see my son and grandson
Nov. 27 Shanghai
Nov. 28 - Dec. 4 London and England, Maybe get to see Steve.
Dec. 4 - 9 Madrid to see Al and learn how to trade.
Dec. 10 -12 Iceland
Seaside Hotel with Seaview room http://hotelberg.is/
Dec. 12 - 16 New York City
Dec. 16 Return to Orlando and settle down in Longwood Florida for a bit.
8 years a Forex trader this is what I set for my goals. Took longer than expected but a learning curve.
1. Pay off my credit cards
2. Go off on vacation and pay off credit cards.
3. Go off on vacation and not use credit cards, in other words trip is paid for cash in advance
3B. Meet Steve Hopwood and other trader friends.
I have reached level 3 of my Forex goals and now am working on level 4.
4. Save up cash to cash buy our retirement home and automobile.
5. Free to travel anywhere I want whenever I want.
Those were the 5 goals I set for myself 6 years ago when I started trading
