I've used it a lot for back testing, and it does a good job. The other two platforms that have attracted my attention (and then lost it again) have been zorro and c-trader. Both of which have had tick data back testing on their to-do list for as long as I've known they've existed.
I have no idea how it performs sending real orders, I haven't even sent so much as one demo trade. I don't see the point as there are still no brokers on offer that I'd feel comfortable with. Turkish banks don't really do it for me!
There has recently been very little activity on the PT3 forum and platform updates which were once per week seem to have stopped. Maybe this is due to the slow take up rate with brokers?
I have been a bit sad about cTrader lately especially the backtesting functionnality in cAlgo.
It used to be rock solid, and 100% accurate compared to live orders.
But, in september updates they changed something. Don't know what, but their backtester started to behave badly and not mimicking real live results anymore. Now it's as safe as Empty4 tester, to say it all
This thread raised a big interest to me in PV3 im gonna look into it asap.
