I am experimenting with ATR and Trendlines and reversal patterns just to avoid the big DD.
This big DD is often when there is no reason at all to reverse and the trend is very strong.
at these moments it's useless to jump the gun and follow an arrow.

SBB will now only wait for PostTradeAttemptWaitSeconds if where relevant to the individual pair, unless I have coded it incorrectly.

Between the numerous things I've tried, 2 idea's seem to hold up really well.
Both are traded on live accounts, so no broker tinkering with demo's.

The first is on the H1 chart;
- only trend trades,
- close on return signal
- 0.01 lots per $1.000 balance
- shown are CLOSED trades

H1 trend, close on CT.png

The second is on the H4 chart, started tuesday after discarding another idea;
- always in, trend and CT
- close on return signal and reverse
- 0.01 lots per $1.000 balance
- shown are CLOSED trades

H4, always in, close on opposite signal.png

DD is fierce, but with these returns there is a way to deal with that. Maybe accept it, or trade smaller lots per balance.

I had forgotten about him until someone posted in the thread earlier in the week. I restarted the demo and he has comfortably out-perfomed my live account SBB.

I started trading 16 years ago, have spend a fortune on many ' systems' and must admit price will not listen to any indicator at all.
This market is manipulated, read the CJ thread I would recommend.
Apply the arrows on patterns and it will be great.
But,honestly, I am surprised Bobs secret basket does perform.
I did a few tests on live accounts also, sofar not bad at all.

Really? How do you know? What patterns have you tested? For how long? With what results?

I am not. I am privy to how it works and can see exactly how it works. I am reasonably sure I discussed this in post 1, although I will check.

Only an idiot uses something on a live account before testing it extensively on demo first.
