What lower timeframes have you been testing on? ( I mean non-OOTB)

I've had it running on H4 for a bit and it's doing ok but I think there needs to be tweaks to make it really successful. The issue is that once a pending is set, if price retraces further the pending stays where it is - so after a reasonable pullback you have to make a new high to get back in. This is fine and I am sure as intended for D1 (you have time to move pendings manually if you want to) but on H4 it is a bit of an issue - see attached for an example of what I mean.

BTW - I initially set the higher timeframes to D1 and W1 but it wasn't working well - so just put them back to W1 and MN1 - so we are trading H4 in the direction of the major trend when there is an H4 candle in the opposite direction.

D1 still doing very well

The EA was initially only intended to be traded as OOTB = M/W/D tfs.

The idea of playing with it on lower TFs (like ie. D/4H/1HR) has not been tested and there is sure some bugs left, if used for lower TF trading. - Ideally the pendings should move with the retraces also on lower tfs, like on the OOTB settings.

(No pending orders on the OOTB version should in reality not be older than 24 hrs, if price retraces)

Maybe one of our coders can help look into the code for lower TF optimizing?

But then again, if it isen't broke....

Even with this problem this bot managed to get me more than 5000 pips from the beginning of month. I believe that it is , probably, the best bot presented in this forum and my thanks are extended to both Steve and Pipcruiser for making it available to us.

Kind of my feeling too. D1 is doing very well. H4 was just a bit of fun but I suspect it could actually do very well.

The issue with the non valid pendings also appeared on the M/W/D demo I use. Somehow the bot (occasionally ) thinks that the last candle of a given timeframe (W or M) is green where in fact is red (and vice versa), and takes the trade. The problem is resolved if I reload the ea on the chart... then everything appears as it should.

I have seen it also a few times, could be due to many things, etc. not enough history if its a new demo acc. etc.

To help the indi posted a few pages ago is good to double check quickly if all is perfect...

V 1k is in post 1.

I have added some info to the chart - the open time and date of the candles. I came across what looked like faulty code in the shift applied to the open/close price of the candles that could cause the incorrect candle directions. Give it a whirl guys and see if all is correct now.

Re the occasional non-refresh, the code could not be simpler and even I am unlikely to screw it up. Check by the time display that the ea is still running when this happens - that is what the time display is for. The ea is not running if the clock has stopped.
