What time frame are you on?

H4 OOTB closing manually and in auto... DD not available coz I am using an old account for this demo and I don't feel like calculating it...soz

Thanks for this Auto HGI aka HGB - Everything running well at the moment except for XAG - I have one trade opened for 50 lots!!! See picture - it says Crim's minimum lot size 50. But I am with FXCM and min lot size is 1 - I have this set in properties but something has over ridden this setting!

Noticed something odd when I loaded Trade Report - I had 13 EURCHF trades within one four hour bar - one evry ten minutes! I have RangeMaxTradesAllowed 3 so dont understand why so many trades? And it has just taken another one - strange.

I read the user guide and note that occasionally this can happen due to crap T4 etc, but should trigger Rogue Trade alert and cease trading. This did not happen.

Any ideas appreciated.

Hi Doc,

Your broker must be using non-standard lotsizes for Silver

I wrote an EA once (shared here) and a user had a cent account, and automatic lot sizing was opening 50 lots for his trades (while it was opening 0.5 standard lots for the rest of us).

On working out the math, figured that it worked out to the same in dollar terms [ as per our brokers' specs ]. I am so pissed at brokers who use non-standard lot specs! coz it's simply part of the deception meant to confuse traders.

In REAL lot & dollar terms, a standard lot of Silver equals 5 lots on another dollar-denominated pair. So 50 standard lots of Silver would be equivalent to 250 standard lots of, say, EURUSD --> the trade would probably never have been opened due to the huge margin requirements! [ hence my thoughts that your broker is using some cent-account mechanism ]

Based on your stop-loss and risk settings, work out how many lots you should have open (based on your broker's published schedule); I won't be surprised if what you're seeing on your terminal is 'correct'.

Many thanks for the explanation - makes eminent sense.
I have now checked it out with FXCM and you are correct. Min trade size for XAGUSD is 50 lots.

I will remove XAGUSD for now.
