Hi guys,

two days ago I started with a demo account. I am using Aussiedoc's setfile. The only things I changed in the setfile are "ECN= true" and the magic number.
Today I had an "error 3 - invalid trade parameters". I checked the set but I am not able to find the problem. Even a search in Google didn't give me an answer.

Could anybody give me a hint where I should take a look. Thanks.

Same issue here, and noticed that lots of ppl come into this issue sooner or later. there seems to be code issues. 4 sure.

this error is normaly caused by a broker does not support to set an expirytime for orders..

If you click on any chart, hit F9, select "Pending Order" from the "Type:" drop down - you will either be able to put an expiry datetime on the trade or not. Probably quicker than asking your broker.

yes I am able to add an expiry datetime to the pending order. So that means that my Broker supports exoiry datetime for pending orders. And now? What can cause the error messages I got?

This is all I can find for it Stefan - check the options given to see if it is one of them:

Error 3 "Invalid Trade Parameters"


It means that one or more of the trade parameters of your most recent order was unacceptable to the broker. If the order was sent by a human trader, check the lot size, stoploss, and takeprofit values and see if they meet the requirements of your broker. If it's an expert advisor, you should also check on the comment variable, as giving a null value or double quotation marks ("") to the variable are sometimes rejected by the server.

If the last order sent was for a pending order, check if your broker allows pending order expiration. Some brokers disable this feature, and would only accept a zero value for the variable.

I know this is a slow going bot but just wanted to post an update.

Demo started on OCT 13th 2014 is:
Pips: 3400.0 (real pips, no half closures etc, all same lot size)
Average Win: 117.07 pips / $10.39
Average Loss: -100.00 pips / -$9.67
DD 9.3%

Demo stated on NOV 17th 2014 is:
Pips: 646.1(real pips, no half closures etc, all same lot size)
Average Win: 106.67 pips / $9.03
Average Loss: -100.60 pips / -$7.95
DD 1%

Still looking good guys.
