So... what happened since this post?

Empty4 is what happened!!

Profit rose to 1024 pips with 600+ pips floating and felt confident as I called it a night and let the EA continue its magic...

awoke this morning to 200 pips profit -1000 floating

the investigation commenced :hi:

seems the platform didn't like the profit action so decided to shut down (turn off) the trading on 85% of the pairs, about 00:50 GMT+8... nothing in the logs as to why just a phantom action, of course this has nothing to do with the EA and ALL to do with the platform... it needs pips for itself and cannot tolerate anyone trying to take some for themselves... I looked all around the house for those 824 missing pips but to no avail, they are gone

For those intending to trade on a small live account with limited margin this observation may be of interest.

Margin on all pairs was set at 300% and I happened to be watching as it was slowly creeping up toward 300% from below. The instant it reached 300% three different pairs fired off trades together and margin plummeted to 230%.

So hopefully to avoid this situation again, and give the ea some time to recalculate, each pair is now set at a slightly different level, 296%, 298%, 300%, 302%, 304%, etc. See what happens next time. Cheers

To those experiencing rapid closures, this may be due to the very tight stops being set ootb.
This might be a stupid comment that may bring down the wrath of the great one but stops are set at 100 for trend and rad positions and something lower for range positions (sorry if these are wrong but I'm AFK for now).
I vaguely recall it being said in regards to a previous bob series bot that all stops will be i points. This means we have SL being set for 10 pips or so. For times of high volatility (and spreads) this may be a bit too tight.
Maybe Steve could clarify if tp/sl is in points or pips for us.

For same strange reason do I only get BUY trades no matter what the indicator (system) says? This is on two demos with two different brokers!

I am also only getting buys and tried three different brokers all doing the same thing.

Have followed Steve's instruction to the letter regarding how to set up the trading pairs, templates and ultimately the EA in the easiest and quickest manner. Have tried it on both GP and IC platforms multiple times.

Everything works okay until I get to the last part which is:

This is where it goes a little crazy and deletes all charts. Not wanting to be held to ridicule for not doing due diligence, I delved into the script code from Arts.

So the question are:

1. Since I am using version 745 of Empty4, is this the reason?
or
2. Is this snippet of the script code where the problems lies?

I got a conditional the wrong way around in last night's update. Fixed in v 1d in post 1.

Line 1382:

should be:
for (int cc = OrdersHistoryTotal() - 1; cc >= 0; cc--)

That might explain the 10% loss in 2 days....

On attached pic, the orders are opened before the " wavy-lines" were printed, aren't the buy's supposed to close when these high waves appear?
