Careful. I could see this question REALLY pissing some people off... My advice? Stick to a higher TF or recognize that there is more and frequent price action on an M15 chart... Hence, more alerts/signals, more often. That is all.

Why did it stop you from entering. Anything to the left of the current candle is history and no longer valid. You could have entered when the Green Range arrow appeared.
Thought I was buying into resistance , Yes the candle was slightly out of that area , but I thought that is serious resistance :arrrg:

I'm no expert on this gem... yet. So take this for what it's worth but, I have traded HGI on 4H for just a shade under 24 hours and I have cleared 360 pips without breaking a sweat. That would be like saying, hey, my son who just turned 7yo just scored 1500 on the SAT. Get what I'm saying? If I can do it... Oh, and I guarantee you there is AMPLE opportunity to make money on 4H, even casually... I mean, you don't have to be glued to the screen at all... learn to use the scripts, pending orders, etc... And don't shoot for the moon.

Last thing... As Bob pointed out someplace(?), if you get a BIG ARROW and WAVY LINES in the same area reflecting a common perception? POUND IT! (See EURCAD in the last day.)

Hope this helps...

I have a suggestion to make so we understand each other a little better. For those of us who enter multiple positions per pair, when we talk about pips attained in one day, etc., I propose that we give the total number of pips relating to a single position only. Example: I enter 10 separate 1 lot orders on EurUsd and by the end of the day it has moved 40 pips at which point I exit. I could say I made 400 pips today (40 x 10 positions of 1 lot), but in reality I made 40 (with a single position).

If we do this, we will all be comparing apples to apples. It can be a bit discouraging to hear that someone made 400 pips in one day when you are struggling to reach 40.

Here is a spreadsheet I use that shows you what 20 pips a day and the magic of compounding will do for your account. You don´t need any more... You make your 20 and you stop until the next day. Go play golf or bug your wife a while. In fact 10 pips a day will make you rich as well with a lot less pressure and much more enjoyment.

If you think my comment has no value, please feel free to disregard it. I just feel it would be a positive thing for everyone to be on the same page now that we are all testing the system.

I'm not sure if there is a right or wrong answer to this, however, I can assure you I would rather bank 400 pips risking $1.00/pip than bank 40 pips risking $10/pip... That said, I suppose each person's aversion to risk will determine what works best for him or her. All that being said, I have been very comfortable during the accumulation of these 400 pips, and I don't think it's misleading at all to say 400 pips. I've just taken bits and piece of Bob's wealth of advice and applied it to my own comfort level/trading style and that's how I've managed to arrive at my results thus far... At the end of the day, I'm still placing entering and exiting trades in the hopes of maximizing my return.

To each his own, I suppose... Ok, so to clarify, yes, I did bank 400 pips whilst stacking some trades.

Fair enough?

My comment was not made as a criticism of any kind. In fact I myself stack trades all the time. It is a very sound trading practice, but by referring to single position pips, each of us will know if we are getting what the system is capable of giving us. If we are in the ballpark of competent results.

As I said above, disregard my comment if you feel it has no value.

Your comments and observations are always very valuable, arrived at after years of study and experience. Thanks very much for the spread sheet, its compact and very useful. IMHO it is very important for traders to learn from the experienced and successful traders, however, each person should and must develop their own trading style based on their life style, work, commitments and personality. This forum is like a university with many students and only few professors. As in any university you learn from the professors but it will take years or even decades to become a professor!

Kind regards

Apologies, I didn't take it as a criticism... And I'm sorry if my comment seemed snippy. I guess, to a larger point, I thought I was expressing my results in terms of Nanningbob's style of trading, which I think is the ultimate goal with HGI... Simply put, to replicate Bob's amazing trading skill and results. That's why I put it out there, just to show that yes, the noob can achieve amazing results with this as well... Maybe to say, a noob can basically trade like NB using this indy with a little practice and common sense.

But I do see your point as well...
