HGI - Page 32

Hey everyone,

I am not sure if this is where to ask this (I apologize if it's not) , but do we have to delete the HGI Light(and Dark) V 14.02 .ex4 in the indicator folder and replace them with the updates of 14.05 from Bob - or do we leave them in the indicator folder and just add the 14.05 updates in there?

Firstly, a belated "Thanks" to Bob, Steve, Ellixe, Milanese and Baluda & anyone else involved in the evolution of this indicator. I have followed the threads for the last few days but had little time to test this later indicator. I can only imagine how hard it was for Bob to explain what he intuitively knows to the programmers, who had an equally hard job translating that into reliable code. But, as always, you shone through.

On Thursday I "threw" some trades on some 4 hour charts. Absolutely no finesse!! Just following what the arrows told me to do. I have recently been to busy with other things coming into Xmas so have not had time to trade this as I would normally - correctly! But I reasoned that signals given on the 4 hour charts should be good for a while, thus allowing me to check 1 or 2 times a day & react to new information. And it is always good to gather some results on how a new indicator behaves.

I added a few trades on Friday continuing with the trends, usually an hour or two after the signal was drawn. I couldn't monitor the trades during NFP, so they have been left open on this demo.

I must admit I find the results a bit staggering - up > 800 pips without any proper management!! How much better could that have been using multiple entries & maybe closing an occasional trade??

I was looking today at renko chart with HGI looks promising I am going to be trying that on demo account next week

I ended the week with more than 400 pips in profits. HGI H4 big fat arrows showing the way. Just 2 or 3 pairs, still in testing stages. Literally no draw down.

But still I think we are in too early stages to be jumping with joy. HGI have not hit rough seas yet. We got some nice trends in the past month or two. I can't wait for some ranging and see how it does. But HGI will definitely be in my trading for the next year.

Hi HGI team,

Just a grateful thanks to all the team and of course especially to Bob. Clearly the best indicator I've ever seen (15 years experience) and some work to do to use it at its best....
By the way I also thank Steve for having created the best site for forex trading.
I don't post usually just because I'm trading intensively....but be sure if I find a very good system using HGI, I'll be sharing it here.

I hacked into the 10.4 SGG 20only indi code to find a more sensible method of ensuring the next price ceiling/floor is a 20 not a 10. I would have saved myself a fair few hours pain had I the brains to do this when I coded the scripts.

Hey ho. The updated code is in the Holy Grail Long/Short scripts; I suggest it is best to redownload this and replace your previous versions. Good tight code is always better than ham fisted and long winded code. The scripts zipfile is in post of the Holy Graily Bob thread.
