Yeah well, these are my best 3 weeks of the year, so we aren't talking about my losing month of September. I still have them. The difference now and I have already noticed is the trades at the tip of the move. HGI is really helping with recognizing that one trade too many, get out, that is the most troublesome to traders. The boogeyman of aggressive traders.BobbyT » Sun Dec 07, 2014 9:04 am wrote:
If only I could get those results everyday. I've had a few cracker/days/weeks but I'm still a very new-hat in this game and still have a lot more bad days than I would like. I'm hoping to go live by mid-next year. Then maybe, at some stage in the future (likely in the very, very distant future), reach the dizzying heights of the god-like abilities of CJ and NB![]()
Wouldn't that be nice.
That would be a day of a lot ofand some
and some more

It's always nice to pretend the bad months didn't happen (despite the good learning opportunities that they are)
I had only just begun with stacking/pyramiding trades a couple of weeks ago and I must say it is one of the finer points of trading. As you say, you sometimes find yourself placing trades at the end of move then hoping there is still some steam left in the engine.
HGI is great because it tells you if that steam is there or not. It's a great tool for learning naked trading too as it can give confidence to your decisions. Naked trading alone coupled with volume analysis and CSS has transformed my trading over the past few months. HGI is the icing on the cake (and removes a screen too
).
I'm looking forward to next year already and suspect that with the help of HGI I may be a hell of a lot closer to retirement than I was planning to be.
Bob and team, you are all stars :hi:
edit: the other thing I love about HGI is it is an aggressive traders salvation (as you already suggested). You can always be in, somewhere, on any timeframe and still be aware of what the market is doing. I luuuuurrrrrrve it (and it's development team, but don't tell the missus
)

HGI on renko chart :)

I tried renko with "Everytickmode = True". It failed miserably but I will be testing with the
Everytickmode = false". this puts the indicator to 1 shift back which renko needs badly a closed candle. I wish us luck. I'm not sure if steve has the wavy set up this way so we'll have to ask him or we could just test it forward.

Hi Bob,
Quote.-
In an earlier post I explained that a 15M trader really wants the 1H or/and 4H trend directions so keeping the 60/240 MA will give you those trend directions. For example the 240 on the 15M chart is the 60MA on the 1H and the 60MA on the 15M chart is the 15MA on the 1H. Put the 15/60 on the 1H and then you can see what you would be trading on the 15M chart.
At the risk of been scold by Steve and/or you, I'm still a bit confuse with the MA 240/60. You said that a M15 trader should look at the H1 MA 15/60 for trend direction....... so, an H1 trader should look for trend direction at the H1 MA 15/60 as well or the H4 MA 240/60. I normally trade H4 with 240/60 but want to test the H1, so not sure.
On the other hand on the input tab of HGI, the MA 240 filter is set to false as ootb. We should leave it that way or must be set to true? I personally have it set to false cause I want to be guided by the wavy lines.
I wish you a great trip and enjoying personally meeting traders around the world. For us, it's amazing to meet a great trader/teacher in person and not behind the screens. I hope I will have the opportunity and honor to meet you someday.
Again, thank you very much for all the sharing of your knowledge as we go in this journey. I still have a hard time to define myself as passionate or stubborness forex guy.

As one who has mostly been lurking here for a few days, I don't have a lot to contribute to you at this time except to say I owe my very meager fx success to guys like you and your team, both here and over on FF.
I really appreciate all your contributions over the years.
Thank you once again Yours, Shake
