Long time ago I found that forward testing is the only way to go... and if possible with real money. 3 month in Demo than trade for 0.01cent/pip.andreatrade1 » Mon Dec 08, 2014 8:37 pm wrote:In some way I have to test the INDI and strategies ...... do you have any suggestion ?

I miss Steve's rants. We will be in London tomorrow night at Astral77 Persian restaurant so we invite all of you to come out. Then it's on to Iceland.SteveHopwood » Mon Dec 08, 2014 5:46 am wrote:Hehe. macman stepped in first and deleted it. Deleted posts show up with a reason if the deleter cares to add one. Thing is, deleted posts only become hidden and are not permanently deleted when an admin does so. They remain readable to admins, so I read this one out of curiosity.
joancb, you are an idiot with a forum death wish. The next time you post something this stupid I will move you to the group who are unable to do anything other than read posts and download attachments.

Shiny new newbie here to express my gratitude for making this marvelous tool available - I somehow knew that the slope/momentum of the higher time frame moving averages was key but hadn't a clue how to apply that knowledge. This is VERY exciting. I'm still working my way through the 38 pages in this post and if I missed this my apologies, but it seems I'm getting all these delightful and insightful alerts as the arrows come up on my charts, but no alerts for the wavy line - get out of dodge- indicator that will limit my losses. As this seems counter-intuitive to the way this is all so well set up I'm betting I have pushed some wrong button somewhere. How do I get the alerts for those all important wavy lines?? Thanks

HGI Simulation
I am sure that out there in the big wide universe somewhere, there is even bigger bollocks that CraptT4's Crapergy Tester. I have yet to meet it and do not expect to. You will have learned a lot once you have worked out why.andreatrade1 » Mon Dec 08, 2014 8:22 pm wrote:I have tried to run the standard Moving Averages expert ( in the strategy tester) and applying the HGI indicator ( green and red arrows ).
At the end of the simulation I have applied again the HGI indicator ( Aqua and Magenta arrows ) but the results are quite different.
What are the right arrows ?
Is it possible to backtest the HGI ?
Thanks in advance, Andrea

Sack your boss. Murder your boss. Pull a sickie. Take an unavoidable day of holiday leave and pay it back later. Start driving now to make it to the restaurant. Book that flight now.
Guys, you really do have to meet Bob to understand my fevered rantings. He is a force of nature. Trust me, he will affect you as he affected me.
And you will worship Patti.
