Nope. It stops HGB opening new trades whilst it is closing the current position. Once the current position is closed, it releases HGB to take more trades. If HGB spots more trading opportunities, he will take them. Please read my documentation with a tad more care, or let me know if said documentation is not entirely clear to a fluent English speaker. With regret, there is nothing I can do to help non-fluent English speakers.

Sorry about that Steve. I hadn't actually read the user manual yet and was drawing on what I recalled from you post announcing the tool (which in all honesty was done over a few cold ones).
You can chalk this up on the growing list of things I have misread this week. No excuses really other than having a scattered week. Even my demo accounts have taken a beating this week because my head is all over the place.
I'll be sure to read the new manual before dispensing any more 'wisdom'

Cheers,

Notice the wave line with large up arrow on the Daily chart. I believe this indicates that the pair will be resuming its UT.
The Daily USDJPY bar has now closed and the large up arrow is gone. Lower wavy lines are now on the chart. I interpret this to mean that I should hold off on placing my buy position. However, a pending buy order above the RAD arrow would be appropriate.

I trade mainly daily bars since it's difficult to find time to check trade throughout the day.

edit: Re-reading the appropriate section of the manual leads me to a new conclusion. "They (waves) warn you that price direction trend change or price direction range area is now coming up". So a long position at this time would not be unwise. Let me know if you see something different. I'm learning and plan to be very successful using HGI.
edit 2: I searched the thread to learn more about the wavy lines. I found a post from Gertie that says,
"My suggestion was:
- close all trades when a buffer7 wave prints,
- send trades when a buffer8 wave prints."
So I will check to be sure I have the lastest version of HGI loaded and I will check to see that the color of buffer 7 & 8 waves are different so I can remember their meaning. Thanks for the heads up on this SpiderX.

Hi John - It is my understanding that the wavy lines indicate the move down has ended -- so we could take the trade Long immediately. The wavy lines at the top are just after the move had ended - no problem according to the PDF - the wavy lines can be prior to or at the top or just after a move has ended. The Yen is pretty weak right now and the trend is UP so I would and am going to take the long trade.

I took the short UJ trade off the big down arrow on the closed candle on H4. Later I switched to D1 to have a look and then switched back to H4 and the large arrow was gone.

Should I close the trade? Should I avoid refreshing the charts in future?

Hi John,

suggest you change the colors on your wavy lines.
there is a difference between the wavy line from buffer 6 and 7.
On the older version of the indicator, they might look the same visually, so it might be wise to use a more updated version which should give different colours for both.
Or you should go to the colours tab of your indicator properties and change the colour on buffer 7.

cheers

Thanks SpiderX, I changed my wave colors. Now I understand there are two wave types. :good:

Hi guys!

I have been having a hard time with "disappearing arrows after candle close".

8 hours ago there was a big sell arrow on EURJPY and USDHF on H4 time frame (last night gmt+2), this made me open sell orders on both pair. But 8 hours later the arrows were gone and a wavy exit line appeared afterwards.

The trades are currently in red and i was wondering should i close em or let em run?. Thanks

PS: I have had to close about 5 bad trades due to the disappearing of arrows after 4 to 12 hours when they appeared. Also i always wait for candle close before placing any order.

Regards
