On higher time frame you posted, I'm seeing price going back up to complete heads & shoulder pattern? How did you determine levels for the grey box?

I have a question about a chart posted in Kwanann's thread. I understand that pairs making lower high are bull traps. But what about the last one where it was making higher high? What trap was that and what was it telling us?

Hi Direwolf, I personally don't see a head and shoulder pattern because the neckline has already been broken. The grey box is basically a retrace box of he fib values 50 to 76.4 of the recent wave high to low, that's why it might change yet if price makes another drop below the current low.

We know they lie to us, we know they want to mislead us, we know they want to get the price from point A to point B, but there is a very many ways to do that and they can shake you off like that

along its path.
I haven't understood it and I may say not very many people did.
Well the first step is to realize that the trickery is there.

Hi,

I've been reading and learning from the forum for a few time, mostly through other topics and trying to get some wins using some of the popular indicators here. While I had some lucky strikes, I usually end up blowing up my demo account taking trades too late in the cycle and then letting the losers run for too long.

So I thought that reading correctly the charts would be probably wise idea to focus on and hopefully a way to avoid the big losers.

After reading the PDF document, most of the posts and examples, I took a chance and played with the USD CAD.
This is what I see on the H4:
Reaching Level 3, top of the up-trend range and also near a top from '09.
From here I'd go short targeting about 100 pips to reach the first level of the new cycle down.

Does anyone have a similar view?

it's taken from the pdf of CJ posts from another forum and the tread which was dedicated to BARF. I personally see that tread as a birthplace of what he has tried to explain here.
