I am looking to see what combination or global SL would have stopped this turnaround, I did watch them fall as the market moved and could have shut down manually. For that reason I am not sure that it is time to give up, two of them are now happily working away to recover, the third is running the HGB EA. All three survived without any intervention and are trading which says a lot for the original method, the longest running is around three months so a very short time to make an objective judgement.
Interestingly the three were on identical micro accounts and broker but on different access points, VPS, house desktop and fast business broadband. I noticed the very different timings on same pairs to acknowledge the TMA trend change and trigger a close out. This is a useful lesson and endorses Bold Traders comments re OOTB trading, so many variables even outside of setfiles.

I have finished reading the excellent book "The (mis)Behavoir of Markets. A fractal view of Risk, Ruin and Reward" by Benoït Mandelbrot and Richard Hudson, and it is worth to copy Mandelbrot words about fractals:

Exploring this set I certainly never had the feeling of invention. I never had the feeling that my imagination was rich enough to invent all those extraordinary things or discovering them. They were there, even though nobody had seen them before. It's marvelous, a very simple formula explains all these very complicated things. So the goal of science is starting with a mess, and explaining it with a simple formula, a kind of dream of science.

Let's see if this simple EA that I am attaching here (multi-pair, 1H timeframe) can start with a mess and with a simple formula can explain something about the forex fractals.

Hi Knut,

The Ea do not need past history fro pairs because it goes in only one chart, and from there it will be requesting the information about the pairs traded.

In the options of Empty4 (Tools, Options, Graphics) you will need a minimum of 5.000 bars.
