Hi guys, i dont know if this is a bug but the arrow in the attached chart wasn't there 18 hours ago, is someone else experiencing this or is it just me? Thanks

I don't have it on my chart. Did you just turn your Empty4 on from it being off? Or had it been continuous running? Did you just switch from another time frame?

Hi Bob. It has been only a few days and I miss you already...

There is a bug in 15.01. Many times (almost always), the arrows in the most recent 20 candles or so are not all painted when you first change pairs. They do appear when you quickly change time frames back and forth. In the case you refer to, I checked to see if the arrow was there on usdchf and it wasn´t, but I changed TF to D1 and back to H4 and it appeared. I am having to do that every time to make sure all the arrows are drawn on the chart, or else you could be missing a crucial arrow.

I can confirm I'm having exactly the same happening on my chart, still on 14.05 though.

OK, good to know I have company. I just changed to 14.02 and dragged several pairs onto the chart. On some I get all arrows. on some I don´t on up to the last 140 candles. They all appear instantly when I change TF, so the problem exists in 14.02 also.

This may be due to the fact that I drag my pairs onto the chart from Market Watch in order to change pairs and keep less charts open. I am not sure of this though.

yes that can be, I think the delay will be the first time caused by the history check the indicator does..

Basically when we change pair we need to fiddle around with TF or settings. Usually I switch on/off the 240 filter.

Me too i have the same problem of missing arrows when i open metacrap, i need to change timeframe to get all the arrows.

I have just downloaded the indi, pdfs etc. I am reading through it and the thread. I have followed some of your work here in this forum, and on another forum earlier, I felt I should thank you for the sweat blood and tears that is this work and that you have shared with us.

I also like that you support such a worthwhile charity.

Hi Al. We are in LaGuardia airport in New York heading back to Orlando, will be home late this afternoon. Shawn is really a great guy and his wife is a treasure. He took us out to this pizza restaurant and we had this coal fired white pizza. Everything on it was white, interesting pizza and was great. Like Madrid there were a lot of street performers but they used different type shows. If you get a chance visit my Facebook page and see the spray can artists. Unbelievable. Anyway hoping to meet again and I have contacted my friend in the export/import business so we will see what can happen. I really like the idea of have a get together of traders somewhere in 2015. I think we would have a great time. Miss you my friend and I will be practicing my golf game for the next time. That way I wont have to throw any of your clubs off the tee.

I think I would like a T/F on the update thing and make that a separate issue. I would rather script it separately than have it part of the indi. Sometimes I will go to my monthly/weekly chart and Empty4 will freeze up as I wait for that part of the program to download more history. I would rather turn that part off and download separately if I need it instead of it being automatic.

I'll check coding again, can you confirm this is not hapenning with 14.xx, and, would you say this is hapenning for all signals or only for some of them ?

I have 14.01 feeding the Matrix because it is much, much faster updating than 15.01 and it does not happen. I will change a chart to 14.01 to confirm if that is happening or not. I´ll get back to you after some time.

please check if you have a warnig that the indicator is downloading history bars.. if yes this can take a moment..

I also experience this where symbols are not painted on the last 20-30 bars when you change time frames. Happens every time, changing TF a few times fixes it. I get no warnings about downloading history bars. I also have 27 charts on my screen, i.e. I don't drag and drop symbols onto a chart. I've been living with it and to be honest it's not bothering me much because I'm trading just the 4 hour atm.

It is true that it is inherent in TMA, but the code can be changed to not allow a new arrow to be painted after the current candle closes. In other words, allow arrows to be painted on the current candle only. This would give us a truer picture when visually analyzing history.

We wouldn´t miss any trades by doing this so it wouldn´t hurt results. I would definitely support this change.

I support allowing symbols to be painted on the current candle only. HGI is for forward testing only in my view, however it is a bit disconcerting seeing a symbol pop up several bars back because I have to ask myself "was I asleep, did I really miss that signal, was it there and I didn't see it, or is it one of those symbols painted retrospectively".
