We wouldn´t miss any trades by doing this so it wouldn´t hurt results. I would definitely support this change.
I support allowing symbols to be painted on the current candle only. HGI is for forward testing only in my view, however it is a bit disconcerting seeing a symbol pop up several bars back because I have to ask myself "was I asleep, did I really miss that signal, was it there and I didn't see it, or is it one of those symbols painted retrospectively".
Yeah... It does make you feel stupid, doesn´t it?

Tomasso, on the testing I am doing on the Beta, the white line on entry price is working great. It is extremely helpful and exceedingly cool... I will keep watching to see if I catch glitches.

On the attempt to repair the no arrows issue, no cigar, meaning, it is still the same... :arrrg:

I also support this together with the white line mod.

Hi everyone - I am trying something and would appreciate your comments. I like the HGI indicator a lot and I have added the Heiken Ashi bars just to visually give me another tool to possibly reduce the drawdown when entering trades. My assumption is that while the HGI indicators may change due to changes in the price action - upon closing the Heiken Ashi bars will not change. So if we get a HGI signal we just wait to get a corresponding bar color change and then enter. I am trying to learn how to upload pics and will shortly. Please let me know if this is an idea with merit or not. Thanks

I don´t think you need HA candles. Enter with the Trend Arrow or Wavy and exit with the first opposite color arrow (Trend or Range) or wavy.

Hello!
To me HGI is perfect. Dont look to other indicator, because you can do confuse. The big arrow is the boss.

I'll check coding again, can you confirm this is not hapenning with 14.xx, and, would you say this is hapenning for all signals or only for some of them ?
I have 14.01 feeding the Matrix because it is much, much faster updating than 15.01 and it does not happen. I will change a chart to 14.01 to confirm if that is happening or not. I´ll get back to you after some time.
please check if you have a warnig that the indicator is downloading history bars.. if yes this can take a moment..

Cheers :)

No warnings are showing.

This may be due to the fact that I drag my pairs onto the chart from Market Watch in order to change pairs and keep less charts open. I am not sure of this though.
Al, I haven't read the rest of the posts following this one yet, so ignore me if I am late to the party.

Fact is, if you abuse an EA/Indi then it will not behave as you expect it to behave.

Try to break it often enough and hard enough and guess what will happen?

The guys here are providing some gold dust. Perhaps actually using it as they intended it to be used might help? Thee coders are not mind readers and so cannot be expected to anticipate every single attempt you might make to break their code.

Just a thought.

Read the effing manual, ok?

I still suffer from OCCD. Good thing, really.

Anyone here feeling generous? My paypal account is always in the market for a tiny donation. pianodoodler@hotmail.com is the account.
