Old and defunct Holy Graily Bob

EA's inspired by nanningbob's work here, especially those based on his 240 Moving Average trend detection filter.

Holy Graily Bob - Bet the Farm on Trend Arrow + Wavy

"Want to see some really good trades. When you see this pop onto the screen load up the Brink’s truck, put a 2nd mortgage on your house, and pile it on because this baby is going to run. Wavy lines with the big arrow up/or down. Just bet the bank because I have learned to love these trades."

It would be interesting to have a "Trend Arrow + Wavy" option in the HGB as a separate setting. Then set up a demo to trade only these signals.

Whatchuthink?
This may be the best idea in a LONG time. Hope this gets incorporated sooner rather than later.

Steve, congratulations to you and wife and enjoy every minute of it.

Sobering thoughts - it was just mid October when Steve was writing Secret Trendy Bob, and only a little over two weeks since he started Holy Grail Bob! Unbelievable to come so far so quickly!

I found this forum when I first learned that you could have something called an EA and have someone write it for you. I came across a one line forum reply from a user, responding to someone asking about having an EA written.

Paraphrasing his reply, it was something to the effect of: There is only one man in this entire unethical business of Forex Trading I would trust with my money, and that's Steve Hopwood.

Who is this guy, I wondered...
Steve, thanks for all you do!

Nicely put cozy. Fortunately, many of us feel the same way, which is why this forum is the best of breed.

BTW, many congrats to Steve and Chris - 42 years? Crikey, did you get married in primary school? :o

Hi all,

Just a thought.

I'm going to try looking for overall direction on higher timeframes [W1, D1, H4], and then setting the bot to just take trades in the direction of the higher timeframe.

So, let's say you have wavey lines above price and/or a down arrow on D1 chart, then attach the bot to a H4 and/or H1 chart, but only allowing it to trade short.

Would appreciate the thoughts of the senior members on this.

I've had a couple of beers before posting this, so please feel free to flame me!!!!

Cheers,

Rob
