here's how i have it setup :

here's my edit:

you can now turn off SymbolColumn in the inputs. you will need to add a separate instance to get each timeframe you want. if you add more symbols than will fit vertically in your chart, you're gonna have a bad time.

sorry but I don't know how to implement this in the code, so here my kludge/template instead

Very creative! If there is enough demand for a MTF HGIMatrix than I can make it. This would avoid loading HGIMatrix more than once. There would then be an input TimeFrames, that would be a comma-separated list of time frames one is interested in.

But, like trendinator alluded to, this would need to be displayed as a list, and we can not have more symbols than would fit vertically in the available screen height.
Rene, you definitely have my vote for the MTF Matrix. A few symbols is more than enough if you can see the whole picture the way trendinator has it.

Thanks.

Yeah, that's an interesting approach, I'd like having it MTF as an option but no hurry, you're already doing a tremendous amount of work.

Added the MTF version of HGIMatrix in post 1.

Set the TimeFrames parameter to a comma-separated list of known timeframes, eg. 5,15,60,240.

Note: be sensible with your numbers. Having 28 pairs with 5 timeframes, 8 buffers and max lookback of 100 requires a maximum of 112,000 iCustom calls! This is done every minute ...

You will find that at the start you get quite a few 'red' cells ... This is probably due to the HGI-indicator still trying to load some more data. This settles down after a while. Have fun and let me know how you go.

This is a quick hack derived from the single time frame version. I haven't done a great deal of testing -- so I expect to wake up tomorrow with a laundry list of bug reports.

Rene, not one glitch. Absolute perfection. I have it running on 3 TFs and 16 pairs and it is updating instantly.

Great work. :good:

Hi Rene,

Thanks a lot for sharing this amazing matrix indicator.
I have a samll request. Can you make one version of the mtf indicator, showing only the symbol on which the indicator is currently attached to?
Thanks you in advance! :xm:

Open the indicator options and insert ONLY the CCy you would like to trade.

The trend arrow usually comes up in M15 before H4. If you have signs of a new trend established in H4, via wavy or arrow, I start looking at M15 for signals and I take those in and out until H4 signals an end of the new trend. You can do it in M5 instead of M15 but it is less reliable.

The only doubt is on the first trade after an H4 end of trend. Let´s say, H4 shows a wavy after an established trend. If M15 is showing a trend arrow in the new direction I take it, even if it is a few candles old. A change of trend in H4 is powerful, but I prefer not to hold the H4 corrections, but to trade in and out on M15 signals.
Thanks for sharing your strategy, Al.

If you have 4H signal, which signals on 15M do you take as trigger - just Big Trend Arrows, or also Range and RAD and/or Wavy?

TIA,

FF

I only take trades indicated by a Trade arrow and a Strong Wavy, not the weak one. I use the Range arrow and the Weak Wavy as exit signals only.
