Guys, re the latest Jerrybuild from the Cretins at Crapperquotes. Tommaso and I talk by pm every evening. Here are some of the contents of what I sent him tonight:
My computer is driving me nuts. It has crashed about 8 times today, so I am hoping to get something to you in the brief intervals the damn thing is actually working.

<stuff about my day>

My machine just crashed again, and I had a thought. I set up three new demo accounts for HGB today and it was a real struggle - took about two hours. None of the scripts worked smoothly first time and the crapforms endlessly closed. I just realised that I forgot to replace the jerrybuild 7xxx with my saved 6xxx. I wonder if the mixture of Crapdows 7 and Jerrybuild 7xxx are causing all the problems? For sure, my machine has run smoothly for about 10 minutes now after I replaced the new with the ole - something it has not managed since I installed the new demos.

Hmmmmmmmm. I will let you know.
Now, I cannot say for sure that jerrybuild 7xxx is the cause of my Crapdows 7 crashing, but fact is it has not crashed since I copied my old build 670 over the latest jerrybuild from Crapperquotes.

I will let you know if it crashes 5 minutes from now. :lol:

I am running 8 x HGB Demos using Terminal v645 with no crashes.

Still getting (130) errors with Version 2a

There was a time when lack of confidence in my own ability caused me to spend countless hours hunting down 'bugs', only to find that the 'bug' was caused by some tit too lazy and stupid to do the required reading for himself. I tended to get a tad cross.

Those times have passed.

These days, I just cut out the countless hours bit and go straight to getting a tad cross at the total tit.

Make sure of your ground before suggesting there might be something wrong in my code. You will not enjoy the experience if I discover that your are a total tit.

If you think something is wrong, then provide evidence or shut up.

I must admit that ALL platforms running my demo and live accounts were changed to 6xxx terminal.exe the moment the installation process had been completed. All are running AOK.

Don't care Richard. At some stage I will either track down the root of the error or remove the reporting of it. I can do the big picture stuff or I can spend my entire days hunting down stuff like this. Which do you prefer I do? You really want me to spend my entire life hunting down that misplaced bracket? In version 1, which is probably what we would still be on?

In the meantime, do what I do and live with it - along with trying to make people too frightened to report it so they stop blathering about irrelevancies and I can concentrate on what is important. :lol:

I tell my people that their recovery is simple choice!
A. Spend 99% of your time concentrating on doing everything you can to get better ASAP - and 1% of your time whinging/complaining about why it hasn't happened yet --
or
B. vice versa!

Please let me know which of the two you prefer so I am not wasting valuable time .

Must be doing something right - the big grins win hands-down! :smile:

anyone else doing trend only trades? the past two days were -400pip loss for me.

Yes, I've had one demo running just trend trades and have had a similar loss there.

The reason is pretty self-evident if you look at the charts, there have been almost no trends, or sudden reversals of long running trends.

I imagine the charts will be pretty quiet volume wise between now and the new year.
