So I think I understand what Rene is saying and it is what I am experiencing...I have been watching the matrix and I see flashes of red indicating an update but when I cross reference back to each chart it does not match up.
I first switched TFs on the chart I am running just the matrix on ( I opened a EURUSD chart and put the matrix there with a line chart turned black so the matrix is the only thing on the screen) and then I still had to go and change TFs on each chart before they synced up.

EDIT; I just realised that I have isiCustom set to false if that makes any difference

the iCustom call should update everytime you call, I see here no potential problem in the code.., is it happening with all version or only with the 15.xx or 14.xx?

Thank you Tomasso to check your code for the iCustom calls.

I really don't know if the problem only occurs with 15.xx, or also with 14.xx. In fact, I haven't witnessed the problem occurring myself yet (but I only use 14.05) As you know, one of the hardest problems to debug are those that only occur seldom and intermittently. That doesn't mean that I will give up on this one, though.

What I do know is this: HGIMatrix loads the various HGI indicators once (for each symbol/timeframe combination ). This is reported in the 'Journal' tab. After a while (we don't know how long), some (we don't know which and why) symbols are getting the wrong signals. This problem is resolved by switching timeframes (i.e. re-initializing HGIMatrix). Re-initializing HGIMatrix means reloading the HGI indicators. So, the 'old' HGI memory pointer is producing wrong signals, but a new one gives the right signals. This could just be due to some memory leaks or corruption (i.e. Empty4), something you or me can not do anything about. As an aside, Empty4 used to load the required indicator for every iCustom call -- nowadays in the later versions, memory is cached so that it doesn't have to reload it again. Probably reloading the indicator for every iCustom call was better (but slower).

Let me know if you have any other ideas.

I would not every call do a reload, but after some time at exp every new candle or every second candle, because imo it is something that is caused by how Empty4 handles the memeory....

In other words, there is no way to forcibly unload the cached indicator (which would force Empty4 to reload and re-initialize) the indicator. Once the iCustom calls have been made one time, the HGI indicator is loaded and cached. Only manually changing time frames (or changing a parameter) will unload/reload them.

Let me know if you know otherwise.

Sorry Rene. I put it next to the 15.04 I had before and the new one is much worse. It even makes up symbols that aren´t in the chart. The 15.04 doesn´t update all pairs, but when it does, it does it correctly. The new one updates incorrectly many times.

I will continue to monitor, but I have little hope of it working...

Sherlock Holmes raises the question: Are you sure you were allready on that said chart, changed nothing and then a symbol appeared on HGIMatrix but not on the Chart?

I ask because I had the feeling that I experienced the same phenomenon but I'm not sure if I might hae refreshed the chart and something like this happend?
- symbol appeared on the chart in HGIMatrix
- refreshed chart by changeing timeframe
- symbol disappeared from the chart but HGIMatrix did not refresh as fast as the chart
- got the feeling HGIMatrix shows symbols which are not there (again I can't really confirm this)

I just watched the M1 TF for some time and to me it seems like it's a problem with repainting symbols on the chart and HGIMatrix lagging behind it and not refreshing fast enough to the new circumstances. But I also saw cases where the chart drawings where lagging behind HGIMatrix.

Bob, I am still testing it with 15.06 but as far as I can tell, it is updating beautifully now that it doesn´t have to deal with the repainting issue. I am beginning to trust it again. What a weapon...

At the moment I am working with Tommaso on a hgi-library that would allow us to remove the iCustom calls altogether.
