Don't necessarily disagree. The Big picture never leaves my mind. It is, and should be the preeminent focus. However, as a Professional Engineer, it is my training that it is always the "little thing" that f**ks up everything. In the meantime, do what I do and live with it - along with trying to make people too frightened to report it so they stop blathering about irrelevancies and I can concentrate on what is important.
This ring is to remind Canadian Engineers of their moral responsibility to society to ensure their work is accurate. If their work is not accurate, people could die (bridges collapse, buildings collapse, concrete structures fail etc etc etc.) This Iron Ring originated and evolved from a bridge in Montreal that did fail from an Engineers miscalculation and the philosophical work of Rudyard Kipling that led to the Canadian Iron Ring Ceremony.
OK. Enough of the BS. Steve you dedicate and give endless unpaid work here. Endless!! You have your wife, your life, your kids in music, your ??? ... and no one should compromise, restrict or in any other way compromise that, but when you can, stop and/or fix these little errors.
I know you will, as you always have, and I know that it pisses you off that people bring it up but I also believe that these little irritations totally distract from what you call the bigger picture.
In Feb 2015 I am hitting my 43 wedding anniversary. Like you, my big picture is narrowing quickly. I also have no time for the idiots.
