A heart felt thank you from a genuinely grateful newbie.. A special appreciation goes out to Bob, Tommaso, Al, Pedro, Steve and many others who took time to clarify all the doubts I had thus far and sometimes putting up with my not so bright questions !!!! You guys truly stand out and clearly walk the talk when it comes to displaying unbelievable selflessness and commitment to help those of us who are still finding our feet in this game.

I'm yet to fully test the HGI / Hurst system (as I have been having few 'technical' issues) and judging by those who have mastered it, it def sounds like THE system and the ONLY one you need to be successful. Here's 2015 is going to be the year to prove it !!

Thank you for all your notes and comments. We do this because no man is a rock and no man is an island. We all need others to survive and succeed in this world. I probably would have dropped out of Forex long ago if it wasnt for others taking some ideas I had and massively improving them. Excited about a better year of trading.

I seem to be having a problem with my new computer. I am getting Wifi started but later I will lose connection and then when I run the troubleshooter I will get this message 'doesnt have a valic IP configuration' not fixed. It seems if I plug in a thumb drive or have another instrument, like a phone using a different wifi connection it gives me this problem. This is not an absolute idea of the problem but my best guess. Or just a bad wifi unit. Any Ideas?

It could be a network adapter problem, try to install the latest driver for your network adapter..

Hi Nanningbob I am not familiar with your personal Ethernet setup and the following may not be practicable for you; but if it is and you are close to your home "router," or can run wire within your home, you should *always* use an Ethernet cable when possible.

WiFi is very susceptible to interference, and even in "ideal" conditions, dozens to thousands of transmission and receive errors occur every hour, and this rate will increase exponentially as you add more devices and if other access points are added nearby. WiFi can be interrupted by microwave ovens, cordless phones, and other devices that operate near the 2.4Ghz (or 5Ghz) range.

From a security standpoint, by using an Ethernet cable, no one without direct access to the wires in your home can snoop on your traffic.

If your router setup is within cable reach to your computer plug in as many devices as you can to your four or more Ethernet ports, not only will those devices run faster, but your wireless network will be less congested for your remaining devices

Hi Bob,

Agree with Zingers, cable is always more consistent and reliable than WIFI. I use it where feasible, especially for workstations.
I use a pair of these: http://www.tp-link.com/lk/products/deta ... l=TL-PA211 to run a "cable" ethernet link through the power network in my house. Once they are paired up they behave well in my experience.

Other thing to try:

Set your workstation IP to static, don't use DHCP.
Check for VPN tunnelling software on your PC; these programs can do funny things to the software configs of network adaptors (it's unlikely this is your issue, it's a new build right?)
I assume any other device on you network is not hitting this issue? If they are it's always worth restarting your network equipment.

Oh yes also.

If you prefer to use WIFI try disabling any other network adaptors via the Control Panel when you're troubleshooting the problem. Taking as many factors out of the process as possible will help to isolate the issue.

Strangely enough has been happening the same here in Mexico. Last week I lost several times WIFI internet conection and one of the lights of the router is flashing, which shouldn't.

What I do is to shut down the pc, unplug the router from the wall and reconect again 5 min later.

Maybe we need a thread for computer help! My computer recently crashed and I am having to re-install everything

Empty4 is a pain now because you can no longer just copy over the backed up Empty4 folder. I have been working on this for a week now!
