HGI used with Hurst charts

In case someone might find this useful I put together a Hurst Target indicator. Doesn't tell us anything we can't already work out, but plots the swinghigh/swinglow of the last move, the crossover point, and the projected extension. Parameters can be changed for the extension. The pic says it all.

Very Good. Tried it and it works - saves on the mental arithmetic.

Reminds me of the MOB indicator they use in Advanced Get some time back - That indicator obviously had very different calculations and was in the old machine code..... (before Empty4) and was always a bit hit and miss unlike this which is spot on.

Nice piece of work And damn easy to read the code, too! Now, to work out how to embed it in an EA

I've been trying to code similar myself, but the "L"-plate is still firmly affixed to my forehead

I got Gringoh's ribbon indie to show higher timeframes, but it will only show up to 3 timeframes higher in real-time... Any more than 3 TF's higher, and it takes an hour or so to crunch the numbers on my old machine
From there, I tried to store the current & previous crossovers, so that I could get the HH or LL, but had no luck

If you go to Fibo properties (right click) then under fibo levels tab, click the Add button and enter a negative value for level e.g. -1 and 100 in the description. This depends upon which way you draw the fib but it's the way I do it.

Not at all It wasn't your implementation that chews up the CPU

I wanted to display the Hurst ribbon for the H1 on an M1 chart, in the same way that Slowkey has the Gann Ribbon System set up... The only way I could do that was...

...which makes for a lot of number crunching.

As I said, it's good for 3 timeframes above the current, but go any higher, and I'd need a CPU rated @TeraHertz speeds

Pips400, Thanks for the neat little indicator. As you said nothing that cannot be worked out. But small things like this help reduce mistakes in ones trading and make it just that much easier.

By the way I have included another small indicator I found that maybe of use. It can be a small ribbon on the bottom of the screen. It shows the start of a run before the Hurst Target indicator kicks in to show the target. So have a good new year everyone.
