global prime demo, v1b, no trades since the 6th. anybody else got trades this week?

*bump* anyone?

surprised at the lack of interest in this EA, even with all the HGI furore, as it is a very promising bot. mine just isnt wanting to trade

Why is it "promising" ?

You have no trades ? So what's the basic of any "promises" ? May be you reckon: No trades - no losses ?

sorry i wasn't very clear. when it does trade it is great, but i've found as well as other users it goes through long periods of not trading. a solution would be really great

Part 1: Leave the damn thing alone!

Part 2: Find another good system to run when OAD'nB is waiting for the right market conditions.

It's always better to have a portfolio of systems, each of which have to be as good at staying out of the market as they are at getting in

although i agree that its good to have a portfolio of systems, it does seem that the inactivity of this bot on certain users demos goes against the trading principles as laid out in post one by Steve:

"Trading method

open a basket of trades daily, at a time of our own choice. "

therefore i, as well as others, have been looking for a solution. im running all other EA's fine, both from this forum and others, and have been for some time, mostly on global prime demo including this one. so the bottleneck would seem not to be with my technical setup either

Hey Trader689,

I haven't looked at the code for OAD'nB, (or much of anything else, lately), so I don't know what filters are available.

Since what you have on your GP demo is profitable (when it does trade), it might be worth throwing the EA on another demo, (multiple instances on the same demo, with different MagicNumbers, with an instance of iExposure(Tickets) for each), and just go troppo with the settings, to see what could be causing your GP instance to go to sleep.

I read somewhere that with a $1k starting balance, as long as you can earn 3%/day (compounding) over 3 years, you'll end up with $1M (I haven't tried crunching the numbers to confirm that myself), which is why I said that if the EA is a good earner (when it does trade), don't mess with it.
