OK - a bit of a laugh here - i have lined up 4 demo cTrader brokers and 1 Live - and grabbed a snapshot of a EUR/USD & a GBP/USD level 2 DOM

The choices were more or less top to bottom from the list and don't in any way recommend for or against any broker (i must declare the live account is my own)

Left to right:
1. Traders Way 2. IC Markets Live 3. ThinkForex, 4. Liquid Markets 5. Divisa Capital

And yes, if you look closely, Liquid Markets & Think Forex do look to have the same feed - all the rest are distinct
And yes, IC Markets really is that deep, and also that thin

Really makes you realise why you get slippage when the headline spreads are supported by 1-5 lots - at this level you can get a little more idea of how rich the liquidity is

Remember, except IC Markets, these are DEMO - LIVE might be very different

And before you ask - i have no intention on capturing rates on a demo account - its a lot of work for questionable results

Interesting update on Bully Pepperstone cTrader on http://forexmagnates.com/exclusive-pepp ... h-ctrader/

It has been "coming" for what seems like forever but the latest update "The launch is expected to take place in the next several weeks after the conclusion of integration and testing" sounds promising

Also note that "IC Markets launched the platform late last year, and has recently stated that cTrader now accounts for nearly 10% of its overall volumes"

I have a live Bully Pepperstone (as well as a live IC Markets)

Liquidity on Pepper is short but thick (not many levels but well populated at each level)

Also looking at FxPro.co.uk (demo) which resembles IC Markets (deep and thin)

Might look at a live FxPro.co.uk some time soon

Divisa has dropped cTrader

One of the best brokers in the US MB Trading now has cTrader. That should be a big boost for cTrader.

I read the above posting and after seeing that there are other past postings of similar interest in the c-Trader platform, I just absolutely felt compelled to make this posting..

To the many new members and to those who may have missed this posting, I will continue to give warning about c-Trader platform. "Stay away from that platform" is my personal and professional recommendation. The many reasons can be found in a previous posting.. http://www.stevehopwoodforex.com/phpBB3 ... 297#p64297

I would not even waste time downloading and setting it up on my pc.. nor would I waste time even commenting about the platform and features.

So again, while I see that many of the postings about c-Trader are of some age.. there will be many more that will come along and be disillusioned into thinking that it is a better mouse trap. Mouse trap it is indeed.

This is very simple... If, I, as a professional trader with 20+ years experience of working in the financial markets, with 14+ years being in the Forex, top 5 Futures and Commodity trade desk experience, adviser to large private client funds, monitor of the various platforms that attempt to make a name for themselves in the retail trading markets... If I don't use c-Trader, then there must be a valid reason(s) NOT to use it.

Please..heed my warning..
