this type of visual backtest is worthless, because in realtime could have been arrows and wavies different drawn, when their candle was an open candle, as the live daw process is like the pricemoving process in realtime a very dynamic thingy.Cyrus7 » Fri Jan 02, 2015 8:31 am wrote:Thank you very much, Tommaso!milanese » Thu Jan 01, 2015 6:46 pm wrote:yes, if you use 15.06, the signal one time drawed, will not be changed, if the candle is closed, and you do not reinitialize the indicator.fx800 » Thu Jan 01, 2015 5:37 pm wrote:
If the questions are directed at me, the answer is no one knows what the correct settings for the CandlesLookBack are, but I have stuck with 5 for both after trying a few combinations.
As for the signals changing or not after the candle closes, you have to ask Bob or one of the coders of HGI. As I understand it, if you refresh the chart or change the time frames, the signal arrows may change if condition changes. If you leave the chart undisturbed, the signals stay the same.

So if I drag v15.08 on the charts and do a visual backtest (i.e scrolling back through 2014) I see what I would have got in real-time (after the close of the specific candle)? Or is it worthless to do such a visual backtest because there could have been many more arrows and waves in real-time which disappeared because the conditions changed?
..
Thanks for your help!
