iCustom Call on OBV_TMATrueSlope-NT

Hey Gang,

I'm trying to work out how to use iCustom calls on OBV_TMATrueSlope-NT.ex4, so I can try to automate TraderJoeForex's method, but I really don't know where to start with that indy

Could somebody please show me the correct iCustom calls for periods 5 and 11?

I count 23 inputs. Hanover once explained to me that once you get more than a few inputs then iCustom calls become increasingly unreliable.

Best solution I can think of is to get the indi decompiled and remove as many of the extern's as possible. You can always maintain neotrader's ownership of the code by publishing the .ex4 of the decompiled version.

Unfortunately, at my best, I'm a bad CPE coder, and without Janet & John variable names, I'm pretty much screwed when trying to work out what's going on, & what I need, & what I don't

NeoTrader said in the original thread that the parts are all here, in source, so it's just a matter of working out where they are, and how to combine them

I have found the TMATrue code in a couple of Baluda's indicators, and have found a couple of OBV indicators, but applying the TMA to the OBV, then getting a histogram of that, is beyond my skill-level

I'll keep banging away at it, though... I have to... The mob I work for is closing down in around 6 months, and I don't intend breaking my back to make another mob of rich bastards richer whilst I can barely make ends meet... Never again!

Decompiled code is indeed unreadable, but that doesn't matter here. The external inputs still have extern in front of them, so all you have to do is remove the extern.

Worth trying as it might save you from a severe headache caused by hours and hours of .

Thanks to Pips400, I got the right iCustom call

The buggar still won't work, though, 'cos now I get zero divide errors from OBV, as well as "Unknown subwindow number", and "Not enough memory for custom indicator" for each call to the indicator (4 calls for a buy signal, anther 4 calls for a sell signal (and that's just for the 5 period MA, I've got to get the 11 period as well))

I tried it for every TF at first, (well, it is an MTF EA), then cut it down to just the M1, but still no joy

I have 16GB of RAM, and the EA soaks up 3.5GB, so there's plenty more to play with, but Empty4 hits its limit.

Oh well... You know what they say... Where there's a will, there's an heir waiting for you to kick the bucket
