JUst to check, I see you participate on the manual trading HGI thread as well. Are you using Bob's main rule (240 Period / 240 MA) for trend direction?

If so, what's the reason you're not using it on the EA trading?

Nope,

I don't use any trend-detection. [Neither does Bob as far as I know]
Just take the signals as they come.

Nope,

That is all we have to do. Easier than shelling peas.

My demo is up by 50%. 3593 pips since starting the account on Jan 5th. Nothing open at the moment. My only intervention is to close positions to protect accrued profits against degradation when there is a lot of DD - done this four times, I think. This morning was one of them. I awoke to c. 2300 pips profit and about 1300 in DD, so I shut the position and kept the 1000. Pretty good, given that those pips arrived whilst I was asleep.

I am becoming very fond of this beastie.

I've activated stealth mode for my tp's because my US 'criminal' changes any open tp's to that of a new trade's tp (same pair- does the same for stops)- essentially eliminating the tp's as long as new multi trades are coming on. UG indicates that the 'correct' tp would show on the Empty4 chart, but it's putting the correct + stealth tp on the charts instead, ie hundreds of pips away, so can't tell if the tp is actually where it's supposed to be.

Also re US trading- any way HGB calls to close trades could proceed in reverse chronological order to avoid FIFO closing errors? When this error occurs, the trades don't close. Or have an option to close in reverse chronological order for those that need this?

It could be that you have mucked up the inputs. Equally, the Stealth stuff was coded for bots far, far less complicated than this one. It is possible that multi-level trading has buggered this up as well.

Having said that, why are you still holding an account with this firm of titwits? You think their behaviour is going to improve if you open a live account and start being profitable? Dream on.

Use some sense, Leslie. Only a dimwit allows his broker to kick him around.

No. Find a broker able to accommodate the way HGB (and all my other bots since the dawn of time) closes trades. Everyone else from the States has either found one or stopped using HGB. For sure, I am not going to put myself through hoops just to accommodate some crap laws applied to circumstances that do not concern me, requested by one new and unknown member of SHF.

Sorry if this sounds a tad harsh, but I learned a long time ago not to chase my tail just to accommodate one individual.
