Surviving CHF - Alert on Brokers (Please Read)

Hi all,

Decided it would be good to make this post to alert those in the forum who have live accounts with other brokers besides GP.
Based on the posts below and also conversations at other places, my inference is that some brokers have been hit badly by the crazy moves on the CHF, and might become financially unstable.
Probably especially those brokers who are offering higher leverage like 1:500 ...
Personally, i am not sure if a broker can become bankrupt because of the crazy CHF moves, but probably the wise thing to do if you have a sizeable account with one of these brokers would be to take some funds off the table to limit your exposure to one broker.

FXCM is also in breach of their capital requirements like Excel Markets, losses in client accounts over $235million. Will be interesting to see if they will survive, I would be withdrawing my funds if I was with them. http://www.ft.com/fastft/262782/swiss-s ... rs-victims

I heard this morning some big funds of big banks lost 50 %.
