I also run this on Bully Pepperstone Razor DEMO on 20 pairs and have excellent results.

One thing I am noticing is that a number of times when a new box is drawn and there are no open trades, the EA does not draw the pending buy sell green and red lines on to the new box.
I have to toggle the TF to get the lines placed on to the chart.

Not sure if others noticed the same as well.

But the EA is good and we should keep perfecting this till the end.

I nearly fell off my chair when you hinted you would abandon this EA I've run it on 8 pairs this week and only EURSD and USDCHF have had big drawdowns but they have been exceptionally choppy pairs this week.

I too have noticed a few glitches with opening new boxes and have had to toggle time frames to set buy/sell lines and on USDJPY it only had sell pending lines (I manually put the buy lines in.)

All in all I think this ones got legs!!

Squalou, IMO indi is a great indicator and is okay as is and you did a great job with it.
I think the best fix you can do is to include the weekend gap into the box so if there is a formed CZ before Monday opening then if there is a gap you get a trade. Even you time filter that trade is wrong cause then it depend if the price will go back in the box or not.
Best would be to continue the cz (if there is one) and start with the Monday opening right in the middle of the box.

No need to worry about this. I am going to add two more inputs in time for market open on Sunday night: TradeSundayCandle(false) and MondayStartTradeHour. G++ is programmed to trade only if the previous candle closed inside the box, so these two inputs will take care of the gap.

Steve, I started this last Sunday night on 13 charts trading 0.2 lots, it finished last night with a closed trade profit of $2610 and an open trade drawdown of $1691 which is the highest drawdown of the week. I would suggest that this is in the top 10% of all the bots that you have coded. Human nature being what it is, I wondered if the lack of posts was due to people not wanting to spread the word too widely about this one.

Anyone who, like me, has spent the week backtesting the cr@p out of G++, and I suspect there are a few, can't have failed to notice the equity curves this thing can generate. And it's pretty much the same whichever pair and whichever time window one chooses. It doesn't only work on EU or GY, it didn't suddenly become profitable in June 2010 or start losing money after spectacular gains before then. Honestly, I can't think of another EA of yours that delivers so consistently.

Having said that, backtesters will also have identified times when the market develops into an expanding range and the grid crashes. This will inevitably happen, so the challenge is to limit losses when it does, through optimal position sizing and other parameters. I'm sure the community here can take this forward so please don't even think about abandoning it just yet.

would you please check if the Incremental Lot Multiplier is working as intended.
I think the Multiplier should restart at original lotsize after a basket has been closed. Right now, in the version I use, the multiplier continuous to increment which obviously leads to a crash.

Reading my last post again, I realise that I didn't make clear I was referring to plain vanilla Gertje as well as G++. Sq's indi is a terrific aid for trading Forexhard's strategy manually - I'm not convinced it confers a huge advantage here but it looks a bugger to code (not that I know much about that).

Maybe there are simpler alternatives: round numbers, Murrey math lines, Sq's NB 10.1 S & R? In fact anything that offers the possibility of asymmetric PA. What about allowing a trader to start the grid at a (pending) price of his choice? Just a thought...
