Hello everyone.

I know that HGB is a good stuff.

But I have been following the thread, try demonstration run one version of the EA, never got a satisfactory result, make me get disheartened. Too many parameters make me confused, not know what course to take.
I don't know what I did wrong?

Sorry fella, but you have to work stuff out for yourself.

I know English is not your first language, but that is your problem.

As I remarked in a different thread: fact is, this is an English language forum. You cannot use the goodies held within it if you cannot understand the languate.

Sorry to sound hard, but I apply the same rule to myself. I do not try to contribute to or understand the contents of forums in French, German, Italian.........Russian..............Croatian.........Malay etc

Thanks FXe3, don't think my CPU, Ram where ever a problem since my trading computer is always around a year old before I get a new one. Right now Surface Pro 3 i7 with 8GB Ram. Of course I can't go back and check.
But interesting taught. Since I have a "couple" dollar left in the account I will go back this week and use Oanda just to see what happens during the news.

Milanese it is amazing how fast you are coding. You have my respect.
I started thinking after your last post with the TP and SL.(I know, leave the thinking up to a horse, they have the bigger head) but I did anyway.
I never understood and still don't understand really why take profit instead of using Trailing Stops. Let the profit run until it runs out and set the trailing stop.
If you take partial profit it means you are willing to loose the rest above the partial profit in the worst case scenario. Therefore if the TS is set on XX (15, 5, 20) then that's all you can loose.
Actually until you transferred the money from your broker into your own bank account you can loose it anyway (Alpari UK?).
SL is the same, why set a SL instead of hedging? I know US is a problem on the same currency but do it with correlation!!
Example US: EU/USD and GBP/USD 1 minute chart. Mataf as source for correlation.
Just a taught for others and it's actually part of my trading.
Maybe Milanese starts thinking of coding EA to do that.

This may be a noob question. I set my UseZeljko=false because I thought it was preventing some extra trades that I wanted. I have MaxOverallTrades=5 , RadPendingTrade=true, and RadMaxTradesAllowed=1. On the GBPUSD I just got 5 RadPending orders placed when I think it should only open 1 RadPending order. So maybe this is a problem where you need to count the pending orders. See in line 4485 RadBuyTotalTrades++. Maybe we need to add this code around line 4442 under OP_BUYSTOP and similar for OP_SELLSTOP and count the pending orders for other signal arrows as well. Otherwise those pending orders will all be triggered at once and we'll have too many live open orders.

As pending orders are converted to active orders, they then get counted, but possibly not counted before firing off more pending orders. So maybe it's safer, more reliable, to make a new variable and count the pending orders separately. So under line: bool CanWeRadTrade(int type), you might want :

if (RadBuyTotalTrades + RadSellTotalTrades + RadBuyPendingTotalTrades + RadSellPendingTotalTrades >= RadMaxTradesAllowed)
return(false);

Hello To All,

I have just started testing the HGB and using the HGBBM. I have had some issues trying to set the inputs on HGBBM as it freezes the Empty4 each time I try to change and save the inputs. I am using Empty4 build 765 (I did note that it is recommended to use earlier but my live accounts will be on 765 so I want to test on the same build). I have installed a clean version of the platform also to see if this would fix the issue. Has anyone else experienced the same issues?

The problem is I cannot change the magic number from 0, as soon as I try to load a preset or save or OK anything it freezes the platform. Will this stop the HGBBM from managing the trades placed by HGB? I also have a query about magic numbers? I am not a coder so please forgive me if this seems a stupid question. I believe that if I set magic number to say 1000 on 2 different pairs that it will not be a problem as they are different pairs, as in say USDJPY and AUDUSD, am I correct or do these need to be different numbers for each chart as in say USDJPY Magic 1000 and AUDUSD 2000?

If that is the case, to have HGBBM manage these trades is each different magic number need to be entered into the magic field separated by a comma for example or does leaving it as 0 allow it to manage all trades.

I have read the manual again but I am still unsure.

You should disable autotrading while changing properties or dragging it onto your chart. To change settings always delete the EA and drag a fresh one onto the charts.
Regarding magic numbers: HGB and differs between the pairs. So you can use the same magic number for different pairs and let HGBBM collect the money

I'm using HGB to make certain entries for me, namely Trend trades, Trend multi trades, and Rad multi, but would like to have close all trades and delete all pendings once a certain target price is reached. I can manually drop the script to the chart but often I'm away or asleep when my target is reached. Is there a solution available for what I'm trying to accomplish?
