So I made again some necassary changes.

The HGI automatisation in form of the HGB EA etc seems to be a hard work, as I understand no "ideal" setfiles so far exist ?
Mine v2o didn't well, I had to move the two HGB accounts into the archive TGTFX2.

Actually I have only one very simple HGB setfile giving at least small wins - it uses only one entry for trend/trendwave signals, all other entries are switched off, not the best version to use the HGI

Anyway - I'll continue the attemptes of optimizing the HGB.

In the "portfolio'" the "3 Little Pigs" are now included - since next monday, they may be fattened by the markets - I hope so !
And - who knows - in some months I'll have perhaps a big fat sod ready for slaughter !

Also two acc's with the "FirstStrike" EA are added now, but the optimization of this bot based on a simple strategy is more tricky then someone might expect. If the BO limits are to small the SL will be hit often enough - see first results of the "test 1". If the you widen the BO limits much more you'll get definitly fewer trades, but again the SL may be hit bcz the momentum of the BO isn't strong enough ... hmm

The "test 2" is running a setfile perhaps working, but I use for this test the MPTM too.

Btw a german trader ("Joachim108") in FF.de (http://www.forexfabrik.de - the most common german fx forum) found that adding of a trendfilter improves the results dramatically. He is providing BT's (yes BT's

) not based on the Empty4, but on tradesignal. This guy works thoroughly and in proper stile. All in all - may be he could look around and explain what he's doing. And yes, he found that the monthly data dont improve the results and the strategy/bot works for other nonforex markets as well !

You may find in the "portfolio" a Matilda_S+R: all credit goes to "OrlandPirate" !
But looking at this bot: dont forget its a grid trader as well, the good times with this bot may end very quickly and this EA may abysmally disappoint you suddenly !

Hi folks !

So here are some news. First of all the more simply results.
The modified Matilda versions are doing a quite good job (in summary - 6 MFXB accounts exist). Let them run without manual intervention as usual.
The PP is going his solid way furthermore. I'm now a bit in DD bcz I switched from 0.03 to 0.05 lot. And yes the last week the PP had nothing to do - the markets have been flat. And it's pretty good, that the PP did so ! He kindly avoided trades presumably turning into loosers.
Had, for a month or so, some other setfiles in use - with wider and/or tighter numbers for SL/JSL/BE - all these attempts didn't work better then xfactorno's setfile. So it seems his params are working good enough ? Not finally sure about the best, optimized settings, but atm I wouldn't change them considerably.
Angat kindly collected the PP accounts into one thread, nearly all these demos are running in plus ! Some of them are doing the job for months now, and I think there are enough members using this EA on life accs.

So what about the "FirstStrike" ? Although I used the money management Tommaso kindly incorporated I couldn't improve the results using this modul. Its a pity, but I have to switch off it and leave this approach. I hoped the JSL could prevent that nasty falling back into the SL after a first good BO - but no effect ocured. It seems, the momentum of the BO trade isn't strong enough to often ?
Btw I restarted this bot - but I use now only the v. "H". Also I set up now the MPTM for catching a win once it ocures. Diversified the parameters in the 4 "FirstStrike" test accounts as well. Like this one indeed, bcz its a simple price action strategy too - without any indis.

The 3 LP (three little pigs

) are atm eating a bit hesitant. But this is a longer run like forexdan is demonstrating it more then for a year already now !

I set up a new, second account with this bot, the same params but additionally the MPTM is in use: close all trades achiving 5 % gain ! The former acc with 3 LP dont have this limitation.

Didn't have substantial success with the HGB ?

Trying now to use the HGI signals on H4 and daily, the trades entered are managed by the MPTM with a simple setfile copied from the PP money management.

Bummer ! ATM I cant connect/reconnect thew MFXB accounts properly to the inet ... presumably I have to resolve this issue using the MFXB's EA and not the inet based "auto update" way. That EA connection works so far for me. Any other experience here with MFXB ?

Must be candid - I'm nearly out of the HGB/HGI. Tried it manually - not so successful. Maybe a last attempt could be a restart using the setfiles/ideas kwachau and Tony posted ... cant say more, unfortunately. :hi:

Ok here are some comments in a rush.

All in all actually the situation for the tested bots didn't change much.

The Matildas are doing well - in this case the pic becomes clearer. BUT in any case they are grid traders even in some cases with marti - any black swan like event may kill the correspondent accounts. Perhaps only manual intervention may help ?
The two: Matilda_S+R and Matilda II show higher DD's, although they manage the trades so far quite well.
The Matildas WW versions look good: a few trades only, low DD's ! Presumably they are good + more reliable candidates for live trading ? Not sure altough ...

That 3LP (three little pigs) looks amazing ! An interesting observation: the bot does often enough rise up the gains even to great 10% ! But no closing and collecting of all the green pips occur ....

So I decided to set up a second acc with the same settings of the EA but added to the platform is the MPTM with 100 EUR balance target. The 100 EUR are choosen more by chance only, I thought simply: 3-5 % gain is a pretty good number for a target.

The PP/PPoS ? Hmmm all good ... but the main issue are as expected the range phases, any trends are great for this bot, any flat markets bring this baby in trouble quickly. The good new: it survives anyhow ! Perhaps only manual interventions like deleting undesired pendings may help and improve the results. (For instance: I closed all trades at this friday evening to protect all my pretty gains, made during the last week !)

is very helpful for comparing the results of committed trader fellows. Ultimatly it would be valuable to post settings, pairs and so on in that thread Angat created a longer time ago already to more insight about the best settings.

The most "unclear" bot is for me atm the FirstStrike (FS). This weekly trader is hard to test forward really. A long long time is needed to get any tendencies for the optimal settings ...

Not sure about prolonging the test ... is it really possible to find out by this way any appropriate parameters ? Perhaps it could be better to abandon this one and to concentrate on the other EAs ? Any recommendations ? May be its pretty successful bot ...

Just a question, were you able to solve the myfxbook autoupdate problem? Half of my accounts have not updated since February; I guess I'll have to use the EA
