Thanks Dudest, there is more luck to it than trading fines. Still learning. The curve is steeper than I thought.

I like your map man! [ forgive my assumption if you are not a man...Zaleske » Tue Feb 03, 2015 12:48 pm wrote:Remember a few days ago, when I was looking at my "map" of AUDJPY and was wondering about the extent of the drop? Huh, how's today for an answer![]()
It's interesting to note how the levels in the drop got distorted, yet now we have something that better looks like that M15... So, instant reversal now?
Anticipating the a-b-c, took AUDUSD longs and closed them as soon as the large pin formed on H1
Want to wait for price to fall back again ( to form the 'c' ) then re-enter
[ Same scheme for AUDJPY ]
Cheers! :hi:

The pair pretty much did what it was supposed to do today, and I also closed a nice stack on that demo account, keeping first trade as anchor. Price should not revisit your "b".
I'd like to draw a more accurate map, but I'm not really sure about where the pauses will be since the levels have been kind of messed with... Nevertheless, it should go up for a while. I'll probably keep on focusing on that pair and not look around too much, still a lot to learn. Have to read more on your ABC concept too ...

However, if the general shape still holds and the levels are misplaced, I can still see it go a bit higher than I drew, even to 94.5-95ish, to burn the stops around 01/28 high before going back down to print the C. Something like that:
What do you think?

PS: the 'ABC' concept is actually a revelation of CJ's. 'ABC' was just how I lettered the points in order to remember them. It's a stop-hunt pattern that he revealed in his BARF thread at FXAW [ PDF available for download here ]

Hi peeps,
Here's a neat script that Tommaso (milanese) coded up for me the other day [ thanks bro! :hi: ]
Got tired of placing MANY pendings manually. So the script does the donkey work
The inputs are very straight-forward
Script goes into your MQL4\scripts folder
Enjoy

Code: Select all
Lot = 0.50; # pending order lot size
Direction=1; # 1 = buy, 2 = sell
First_PendingOrder_Price=0; # price to set the first pending order at
NumberOfPendingsToSet=5; # number of pending orders to create
DistanceOrdersPips=20; # distance between pending orders
MagicNumber=0; # magic number of pending orders
TradeComment=""; # trade order comment for the pending orders
ShowAlerts = false; # set true to get an Alert on each successful creation
Enjoy

Looks good, possible retracement coming soon, if price continues following the map I posted the other day. ps. the question is when does price stop following a map? I guess we will see soon enoughdudest » Tue Feb 03, 2015 9:06 pm wrote:

USDSGD H4: nice place to go long
A. Go up and form M to go down
B. Form a W, and start the count again for another 3 levels up

I'm hoping it will just be a minor retrace (like a typical a-b-c)
Have my buy limits set between 90.30 and 90.70 [ between 50.0 and 61.8 Fib ] {AUDJPY}

I think the high point after 'b' is the minor bump before 'a' is formed. So I think 'c' may come alot sooner (probably by NY today)
Have pendings set incase it does
