May I ask a trading question?

I am on the D1 timeframe, now, on this move on GA (and a couple of other pairs too), I was late getting in to the move...

I had taken a RAD trade on 02/02/2015 with a pending order, with the trend, obviously price has now retraced, and stalled at the prior RAD arrow, seeing as that was the previous breakout point, and price has stalled there, I have opened a new trade at the prior RAD arrow on 04/02/2015...would this be the incorrect way of trading the RAD arrows? I thought to myself, it is a risk, but as of yet there is no wavy line cancelling the trend, so perhaps this is just a retest of prior resistance turned support before we turn upward again...

If I have not explained well, please excuse me and I will try to expand on what it is that I am asking...

Thanks

Hannes

Hi Hannes,

This could be the start of a difficult situation. IMHO.
Firstly if you are going to have more than one trade on a pair at a time you need something like "line of zero" to show your breakeven point.
Also if you had drawn trendlines across the highs and lows you would see that you have placed your first trade at or near the top of the range channel.
Now. How to get out of this without losing money!
The good thing is that you have used a very small lot size at this point because it might take a number of trades to complete.
The trick is to get your breakeven point into to probable trading range of the current bar and therefore increase your probability of closing at breakeven or a small profit.
Placing your second trade would have only brought your BE to somewhere on the upper wick of the current bar. BE needs to be at least on the lower half of the body of the bar (because its a red bar) for a small retrace to close out.
Place another trade to bring the BE down into the lower body of the bar. Do the math and increase the lot size as required. Put a stop (or TP) just above BE.
If the price doesn't retrace on this bar, wait for the start of a green bar and try again.
Be prepared for some (or lots of) drawdown, possibly to the lower trend line and be very patient.
I use this method myself with good success but it has to be managed closely.
best of luck,
Fulla :)

Maybe a "stupid" question, but could not solve it :
I tried many times to double click the charts attached here in SHF and zoomed them in with X symbol at the top right.
Problem: When charts are zoomed in, I could not see their Left part, and could not left scroll them further to see their left part which remains not visible unless I zoomed out again the chart. I could not center the chart either. Is there any trick to solve this problem ? (I am using Firefox browser)

Happens to me too, even when using an external (widescreen) monitor [ browser = Chrome ]

Try right click on the chart and open in new tab.
Ctrl and scroll wheel to resize window.
Probably not the correct way to do it, but it works for me.
Hope this helps. :)
