I have been trading 3 little pigs manually for a 5 months....17% so far

I have missed a few trades here and there due to having other committments, obviously Christmas when the markets went mental, so this really appealed to me

I have a two quick questions:

I have read and reread the whole thread but I cannot find the answer, Is there anyway to set a %'age of your trade accont instead of a fixed lot?

I do have a VPS and trying on my demo

This is really good work

no the EA uses fixed lot only, you can select different losizes for stacking and the main trade, if you want. For calculating the lot size gringoh has coded a great indicator look there --> http://www.stevehopwoodforex.com/phpBB3 ... =27&t=4064

If there will be here again more interest for the strategy I am open to rewrite the code to my latest standarts and too to full new build compatibility..

Just to say thanks for all your hard work in this and everything else you contribute and can I please add one vote towards updating the EA to your usual high standards and new build compatibilty.

Tommaso,

I'm having trouble and not fully understanding the options in EA. Could you please verify that I have this correct.

I want to tweak the EA as the majority of trades I've had so far in my demo account have been in profit and then lost out to the stop loss. The EA is working well and doing what it should, I just want to lock in profits when I can.

I did search the forums and found the following but i'm still scratching my head a bit. I would appreciate if you could just confirm the following so I feel more confident in changing the Variable values in EA.

Use_SetBEAndJumpset this to true if you want to use the function
BEProfit Pips added to OpenPrice for BE
JumpStep pips the SL will be moved with every trail step
SLMinDistanceToPrice this distance must be moved SL have to the actual price

For Example if my settings are the following for a Buy trade:

Code: Select all

Use_SetBEAndJumpset true
TakeProfit 300
StopLosss 50
BEProfit 4
JumpStep 15
SLMinDistanceToPrice 30

If I understand this correctly the trailing stop becomes active only when the trade is in profit.

The JumpStep value of 15 will be the number of pips moved with each trailing stop movement.

The SLMinDistanceToPrice is 30 - When the Buy trade is in profit of 34 pips (30pips + BeProfit 4) The StopLoss value of 50 will move 15 pips giving a new StopLoss value of 35 pips. Which will be 35 pips away from Open Price. Is that correct?

The reason I ask is I want to keep the trailing stop more tight when pips are in profit. I want to confirm that I can achieve that by increasing the JumpStep variable value.

I think I found the reason why my trailing stop changes in EA have not been working on certain trades.

Answer = My broker

I currently have an open trade on USDCAD and I checked the order options and the minimum trailing stop level is 80 points!

How does that compare with everyone else? Seems a little high to me.

I'm in the UK and my broker is IG.

With the EA active, whenever I change the time frame of the chart I get the following message in the Alert box:

"OnDeinit_UninitReason = Symbol or timeframe was changed"

My question is, does it matter what timeframe chart the EA is applied to and what is the effect of changing time frame to the EA, in particular if the EA has already initiated a trade?
