Hello Steve,
I have a tome for your perusal. It is one solution to the 141 errors that HGB sometimes throws.
It is not high priority.

Page 1 explains the general scenario and ideas that I used to solve the 141 error codes
Page 2-5 show the modified code in the various functions throughout HGB
Page 6-12 shows the include <TradeContext.mqh> that I have incorporated.

Perhaps some of this might be useful.
(I also use this in HGBB, but that is for later discussion.)

i tried to use the ForceLoadHistoricalData script, except that it returns success if there are more than 0 bars. HGI needs 550 bars to work properly. find my fix below which will only return success if there are at least 550 bars. you will have to manually go through the charts and hit the home key until you get 550.

having a look through some of the trades in the forward test i came across lots of TrendWave trades that were closed after a few seconds and then reopened 10 mins later.

This also happened durgin the first round and also on different accounts. I saw at least three instances with these kind of trendwavetrades. I think it´s no bug, rather a logical thingy like open on trendwave signal on lookback, with getting another wave signal to close the trade and reopen to the same conditions because HGB finds the trendarrow with its lookback function. Just a guess.

I have been trading the HGI trend & rad using the 10.7 stochs on a 4h chart manually & I find the 10.7 keeps me out of trouble/DD 2 out of 4 times. I realize HGB is a monster to code but could the 10.7 option be added for the trade decision?? I tried copying it from other Ea's but to no avail.

What do you think Steve??

I pulled the EA lines from the Dream team EA. The entry data is from my old 10.7 EA hope it helps. Adding this to HGB could be a great filter, it should be an option. I have been using it manually with the RAD H1 & H4, its late on the Wave or Trend. The 10.7 rules apply it works best Tuesday & beyond, when the weekly & daily stabilize.

I was wondering if Steve, or any coders around would be interested in modifying a couple of Steve's HGI scripts in the first post.

On the trend and rad entry scripts, I was wondering if they could be made to make the first 2, 3 or 4 pendings at a selectable lot size. For instance,

Initial market entry at 0.30

First pending 0.20

Second pending at 0.10 etc.
...
I have perused around and haven't found one that will do that, even though I can't imagine it is an original idea. Please pardon me if it's right under my nose, and point me to it.

If too much trouble or you guys feel like it's not worth it. I can still do it manually pretty easily.

Currently have Holy Graily on Demo pretty much OOTB with mixed results. Having excellent luck with small live account manual trading HGI. About 15-17% Equity gain per week>

I have 5 modified functions attached below. I tried very carefully to keep the original logic intact, and work with it to help capture 141, 136 and 138 errors.
Perhaps you or the other EA contributors who wrote the specific functions would review them and see if this really is true.
In the meantime, I am running all these mods this week.

To be honest, I think you are using a sledgehammer to crack a nut.

Yes, errors show up from time to time. On other people's demos. They do not show up on mine.

Until an error shows up on my accounts, these days I assume it is down to a combo of platform crap or user stupidity. This saves me hours of frustrated searching for non-existent bugs and the posters of said thingies their accounts - I do not react well to having my time wasted by dimwits.

So sorry. Much as I appreciate your efforts to help I have no guarantee that they would not merely involve me in endless hours of further work on stuff that has nothing to do with my original code. This has happened before and I am not in a hurry to replicate the exercise.

No, I am not a perfect coder. Yes, I am quite good at this stuff these days. I will sort stuff out as it appears on my platform. Until it does, I will ignore it. Do feel free to open your own 'bug-free' thread here; I will support it. Just make sure you are correct first, ok?

Here are my results running 2 demos from 9pm Sunday to 7am today, 10hrs of trading. Trend and wave trades only, no instant execute, all pending, 2 trades per chart.
