Pedro,
i assume you are talking about Binary options - true??? My advise is run for the hills. Binary is another way for brokers to take your money. There are many blogs of the horrors of Binary. you might read Forbes Don't Gamble On Binary Options. Binary is gambling just like online poker. You are playing against the broker - house - not other traders as in Forex ECN. The broker becomes a market maker. Few forex traders use market maker brokers anymore now that ECN has become avail. How long will they let you take their money?? And you hit it on the head - need to win 2 out of 3, so you are in the hole 66% before you start. You can make money trading Forex with 50%. You cant add, subtract, exit early, etc etc or change your order in anyway with binary. The best way to protect yourself from a black swan is to have a small account size - plain and simple. If you need $1000 to cover margin for your typical style of trading and lot sizes, then keep withdrawing winners and maintain only the smallest account size, and along with that - the larger leverage will also help keep account amount down, and if you are in U S find an overseas broker - there are still some - or set up an offshore company as most o/s brokers will accept that structure even with u.s. owners. That will put another barrier in the way for an overseas broker to spend big to recover a small negative account. think about it and i think you will agree - binary is gambling. if you must trade options, then use the normal futures/options contracts, not binary. and if you lose your whole stake, get back up, dust off and start over. no matter what you say, these black swans - dropping 1500 to 2000 pips - only occur rarely. and several brokers, blogs, Dukascopy for one, warned the CHF unhook was coming months before. Thank you for your comments. I must agree with most of them. For me personally I have a no problems with my broker or payments in my own country. But like you said I can see problems for people dealing with a overseas market maker broker that have little experience in the field. So I think it would be wise not to start a thread on the subject. Thanks - Pedro2
