Hi all.
I've missed a few trend arrow trades because they coincided with blue wavies.
In such a case, there is no alert for a trend arrow. Only a wave trade is logged, and I'm not entering trades on wavies. Only large trend arrows.
As I'm taking signals from my phone I can't check the chart to see the trend arrow, so the alerts need to be fixed there I think.
Additionally it would be useful to alert to a combination of trend arrow and matching wavie that supports the arrow, as these trades typically always pay out.

Sometimes i dont get alerts to pop up although enabled.
In this case a blue wave (Range End) should have been in the expert tab.
This effect seems to be random and on all timeframes.
Has anyone an idea what this can be caused by?

I have seen a lot of waves being printed on the previous candle, just after candle close.Etecy » Tue Feb 10, 2015 11:52 pm wrote:Sometimes i dont get alerts to pop up although enabled.

May I ask a question on the new 16.04 1 Hour version? Using it on the 15m TF as indicated by Bob, does it use the 60 MA on the 1hr (15 on 4hr) or has it been programmed for something else? If so may I ask what parameters it’s using? I ask only because I noticed that the wavy lines move around a bit and would like to understand why. Usually if one is using a MTF indicator on a 15m chart but based on a higher TF say 1hr, once the 1hour candle prints that is it. Off course it can move or disappear in between. Is that the same here or is it looking at an even higher TF? Many thanks and once again thanks for the great indi.nanningbob » Mon Feb 09, 2015 3:52 am wrote:Here is 16.04 for 15M chart. I would not use the arrows for the 15M chart just the wavy lines. I have turned off all the alerts except for the wavy lines and you trade wavy to wavy. I think that is the most accurate for the 15M chart. This is a test version only and has not been tested on a live chart. Wavy lines only appear at the close of a candle so you can check every 15M if you wish.

Rio,
did you read the thread from beginning?
If not, it's highly recommended. You'll have a better understanding of the signals.

Wavies are totally tradeable i dont see whats the problem here mate go and re-read from page 1Rio » Wed Feb 11, 2015 3:19 pm wrote:The indicator is still far from perfect.
Waited all week for trades on the H4. Lots of wavies. Few trend arrows, and they only paid out a little. Some faked me out.
I restart my server and reload everything.... Voila... Nice trades on the gbpjpy that were totally invisible until I refreshed
Looks can be deceptive...

HGI Retracement
Hi Bob,
you mentioned a few many posts ago how you trade Rads - a light went on when you said this and I analysed and adopted a Retracement and Breakout split strategy on strong wavy trends with Rad arrows. ie I place both trades with half the risk.
My question concerns the retracements - I look at the distance of the Rad arrow from the Price Action and roughly double then look for any impediments with round numbers 000 and place the buy or sell limit accordingly e.g if a round number appears before my estimate on retracement then I place before the round number - I explained this in an earlier post. My question: How do you estimate the retracement depth with HGI?
Thanks Jonathan

I've missed this week a lot of action because I was working on mon, being on the trip on tue and working all day long today. I was able to catch only a small part of jpy moves.Rio » Wed Feb 11, 2015 3:19 pm wrote:The indicator is still far from perfect.

Anyway I have made 263 pips on u/j, 62 pips on e/j, 210 pips on g/j, 130 pips on a/j and 307 pips on n/j. It is over 900 pips this week (some of trades could be from last week). Probably somebody who was able to watch charts all day long could be able to make around 3000 pips.
So I would say that you must be blind or...
