May I ask a question on the new 16.04 1 Hour version? Using it on the 15m TF as indicated by Bob, does it use the 60 MA on the 1hr (15 on 4hr) or has it been programmed for something else? If so may I ask what parameters it’s using? I ask only because I noticed that the wavy lines move around a bit and would like to understand why. Usually if one is using a MTF indicator on a 15m chart but based on a higher TF say 1hr, once the 1hour candle prints that is it. Off course it can move or disappear in between. Is that the same here or is it looking at an even higher TF? Many thanks and once again thanks for the great indi.
It uses numbers and figures for the 1H chart. Not the same as 4H or MA lines etc. It should be used along with a higher TF confirmation. If higher TF is sell between wavies then go in the same direction on the 1H.

Many thanks Bob. And BTW, I agree entirely, keep it simple. I think the problem is that people want to complicate it or even worse try and make it 100%. Post any system that works and the first thing that happens is that people start changing it without ever really trying it. When Richard Dennis produced the Turtle System he said he could give 100 people a system that is guaranteed to make money and still 95 could or would not be able trade it or make money with it.

Bob (or ayone else for that matter) In the essence of keeping it simple. has anyone forward tested trading from wave to wave on the 4hr or D1? I seem to remember someone writing about this before but I cannot find it within the thread. On would enter on a wavy trend and exit on wavy range. This may not be great for forex but as I trade quite a lot of stocks and commodities this style suits me. Thanks in advance

I am going to test an EA that does just that. When you see a setup you place that buy or sell wavy EA on and it will trade that scenario for you. when it is done you take it off. I also want a MA EA that will enter and exit when you see a setup. I will work on that over the next week. HGI simple, send wavy line signal to phone or email, set EA of choice let it rip.

Bob thank you for the different methods on catching the retracemeant following Rad HGI signal you posted following my question. These type of trades waiting for price to come to a buy lim/sell lim greatly appeal since one of the early lessons in the traders school of hard knocks is beware of "social proof trading" where you enter a trade that has already moved a considerable distance in the direction of your trade - before getting chewed up with a retracemeant.

Live trading HGI 16.04 D1 with wavy, big arrows and rads at 0.5% risk. Some use of TLs and Fibs:
Up 3% this week. 1.5% the week before.

Sounds brilliant. Very much look forward to seeing it I for my part will test it live from Monday on a couple of stocks and commodities. I do not like demo trading as once one goes live, its never the same so I will simply use mini positions.

That is always the best way to learn to trade, live trading. I loved the USA penny brokers but they are a dead breed. I mean if you trade one penny lots and it goes 1000 points against you its 10 bucks. The phrase never let your losers run is really where I learned Forex. Letting penny trades run and see if I could get out of the mess let me learn how the market breathes and moves. How it moves in waves up and down angling up/down as it moved up and down.I would then trade until I was comfortable with anything the market did. I made a rule to not let my account go over 20% in the hole and I traded to my hearts content. I learned to trade in a way that lets me trade another day.
