like your observations clearly showing a build up of price pressure and I will look on D1 where I spend my time for similar.
I am fully aligned with you and many experienced traders here that HGI provides clear and high probability signals.
I also look for other nuances especially around current and the last few signal (wavy, big arrow and Rad arrow) and their relationship to price action.
As a filter so we don't confuse others I would ask the following questions: Is the observation trade-able, compliment HGI and has a high probability?
On the latter in the first pass I would look for 100 instances with greater than 65% conformance to the rule. That's my view - to review more than 100 patterns visually may do your head in! Anyway your idea of fwd testing is great. Keep us updated ...including the trades that did not work.

Using the HGI 16.04 version as well as the new M15 (latter is in evaluation though), I wasn't able to get rid of alarms. Neither all parameters setting to false nor using an empty wav file to get this alarm was working. Also using a real wav file wasn't working (for example using the whole path to \windows\media). I always get the standard alert.wav from Empty4.
For example using the HGI H4 TF I get an D1 alarm.
Any hint for this - or simply I'm overlooking something?

make sure you have the sound file you want to use for the alert installed in YourMT4/Sounds

Actually it's BoInvest modded HGB that's doing the "heavy lifting".
I am a bit of a dinosaur and the only EA I have ever used is a Trade Manager. May I ask, does this EA open the position for you or do you do that manually? Same question for closing the position.

It opens trend and wave trades, the rad-trades are not where I want them so these I need to add manually.
Closing is automatic again.
I see and read that the perferred trading method is look at the Daily chart and if it is in an overall downtrend, trade the H4 downwards. When you get an "up" wavy on the 4 hour, do you also trade it back up against the daily? How about the pereferred method of trading the 1 hour charts? Thanks for any assistance.
