Hi,

there is no difference to older versions you should avoid to install it in\program files* - avoid the UAC issues.
Something like C:\Empty4 is probably a good choice for a fresh install.

So, It's ok to let the Empty4 files remain at E:\Empty4_folder or D:\Empty4_folder, just update(put /portable in the Empty4 program shortcut script before update) , that's the easiest way to do ,right?

Mandatory Empty4 Software Upgrade – 1 March
Please be advised that MetaQuotes will no longer support Empty4 client terminal builds lower than 745. If you are using a build that is lower than 745, there will be a mandatory update on 1 March 2015.
To avoid any disruption in your trading, we strongly encourage you to upgrade your software prior to 1 March 2015.
To check your current version number, go to Help » About. Your current version number will be in the lower left of the About box. To update your software, simply restart the Empty4 platform. The Live Update box will appear. Click Start to download and install the update. After the software is updated, you will be prompted to restart the software.

Well, we knew it was coming guys.

We are stuffed. After March 1st we are subject to all the lethal imbecilities those cretins at crapperquotes are happy to throw at us. Our platforms will randomely: shut down our ea's; shut down our charts; shut down our platforms altogether. Wouldn't surprise me if the Cretins at Crapperquotes found ways to infect our machines with virus's that ruined them entirely.

Our only hope now is that the brokers (and that includes the criminals who merely masquerade as 'brokers') realise that this drivel is unacceptable and untradable and do something about it.

The alternative is the death of retail Forex trading as we know it. Followed by the closing of hundreds of thousands of untradable retail accounts. Followed by the ruination of even more so-called brokers than happened following the Swissy bloodbath. Hehe. The crims and the CAC were once in cahoots. There is a sort of joy in the way that the cretins turned upon the criminals.

Of course, there is always the possibility that the Cretins at Crapperquotes have actually managed to code a platform that works.

Yeah, right.

New Empty4 4 Platform Build 830: Hotfix
Empty4 4 platform update is to be released on Monday, May 25, 2015. This hotfix update build 830 follows the previous major release. The new version features corrections in the CopyTime function and fixes of issues reported in crash logs. We strongly recommend that you install this update.

The update will be available through the LiveUpdate system.

Empty4 for iphone, latest build (build 775,we are 27 May 2015).
-> They (mistakenly) removed the Metaquotes ID No way to get notifications anymore
The Settings/Messages section where it's usually displayed has simply disappeared. Haven't found the MQ ID anywhere else and spent 2 hours searching the web for that yesterday. Eventually raised a ticket to my broker (who has no power over that problem to say the least).

Crosstested on Android and iPad Empty4 versions : Metaquotes ID still there.

Phuck it.

EDIT : found the fix. Need to uninstall, reboot the phone, then reinstall, and it will fix the issue.
Probably some temp cache that doesn't get cleared without reboot.
