HGI for beginners.

Hi guys
I'm a HGI newbie. I've read the december HGI pdf but can someone pls tell me what the difference between a blue wavy and a yellow wavy is.

The yellow wavies are shown when a symbol enters in a ranging tma-slope value and the blue ones when it exits the raning zone.., so the bluewavy shows you a symbol left a rangezone and entered in a trendzone.

Hi Guys,
Could some kind person help me with setup? I have copied all the indicator files to the Indicator folder, templates to the Template folder, and HGI_v16.04.ex4 to the Indicators folder, and all the scripts to the Scripts folder.
I applied the template to a 4H chart but.... no signals, no arrows, no wavy lines, just the MAs and text in top RH corner.
I can't work out what is wrong, and I am not a Empty4 newbie!
Any suggestions? Thanks to all.

probably your broker uses suffixes, what makes it ont easy to use the template.
Best would here attach on a clean chart all indicators you want to use change the settings, colors ecc like you want and save this as your template.

Thanks for the quick reply Tommaso, you are right - my broker does use suffixes. I will do as you suggest.

I hope you realize that you cannot just look back on a historic H4 chart. You can only assess the indicator on a chart that never had the indicator refreshed, Empty4 restarted or time frame changed.
If you do any of the above, the indicator will re-invent the placements of signals and you will get an unreal optimized picture.

On one of the templates I downloaded the HGI indicator did not attach. Rest of the template was ok. Just attacht the HGI indicator to the chart after selecting the template and then save template again.

i've been trading blue wavy to yellow only.. so far i've only had 1 trade that triggered my pending. USDJPY but it's darma time, so i don't think it's gonna work out, gonna have to close her until the next one

That is the same way I am trading it, except on the H4. Opened 2 trades last night and they are still pretty much ranging. No exit signal yet so I will hold on and see.

That didn't work for me, my problem is the suffixes my broker puts on the pair names. I built up the charts from scratch, adding each indicator in turn, and everything worked fine, then saved the template. Now to try it ouit and watch it on a demo account for a while. Cheers!
